Discussion - Part Four!

We're more than halfway through! What did you think of the last section? Lets discuss as we prepare to enter the final part of Sanderson's epic second instalment in the Stormlight Archive!

This has been such a better experience than WoK for me! I flew through the second, third and fourth parts.

I have been really enjoying all the action! What the hell was that duel in the third part? So incredible!! And Sanderson is such a genious to finish that big victory with a total disaster! I was so angry at everybody in the beginning of this part, and yet things seemed to work out realistically and neatly here. I especially loved that Adolin showed some real honor and respect towards Kaladin.

I also love the relationship developing between Shallan and Kaladin (friendship or love, I can't tell yet and don't really care at this point, it's just awesome)

But the sad highlight for me here was Syl's death... I have to admit I cried just a little, even though I believe she'll come back. Yes, Storm it with my Kelsier Effect, I believe!!!

And the inteludes! One better than the next! It's so good to get more and more understanding. I think the Mistborn trilogy has some competition as my favorite Brandon Sanderson book!

Ahh this keeps getting better and better. The relationship that's devolping between Kaladin and Shallan is amazing, I hope it is just a friendship though, I love Adolin and Shallan's courting too much.

Syl's death was sad. I'm unsure as to how exactly Kaladain 'killed' her, I know it said something about broken promises so I guess he just did too many things that she didn't agree with or something, holding a Shardblade for one. I'm hoping Pattern doesn't meet the same fate. I think he's a different kind of spren though because he doesn't seem to have a problem with Shallan holding her Shardblade.
