This book is my personal favourite. When I recommended this book to a friend, he found the writing style difficult and he couldn't finish the book because of the way its written. I love the characters and the way they're connected to each other.
I've actually never read it. I have seen the movie tins of times is it anything like it? honestly I think I wouldn't get around to reading it it's not my "style" if that makes sense but would be open to reading yours or anyone else's reviews on it is that weird to read reviews on something you wouldn't really read?
I have read the book 2 months ago. This book successfully tells the story and the life of colored/ African-American women and how they are being treated in Southern United States. The language used by the narrator is quite hard to be understood because it represents that the narrator is uneducated. this makes this story so real and original that it makes me feel like i am reading a real-life story.I like this book. It greatly reflects the racism and sexism in society.
