Kathryn | 7 comments Hi

My name is Kathryn and I have been on Goodreads for a couple of years now and more recently ventured over to Beta Reading as a hobby. I love reading and have been reading for as long as I can remember. My mum had to hide inappropriate books as I would have read pretty much anything!

I can offer the usual services such as helpful suggestions as to the content and flow of a book. I work with whatever way an author would like - whether that be keeping in touch every 10 chapters or providing my views at the end.

There is no genre that I don't like - I am still pretty much reading everything.

I am also a bit OCD and with the nature of my job (Legal PA) I have a very good eye for spelling mistakes and grammar. So please don't be offended if these show up as suggestions or changes - it is just in my nature.

So if anyone is interested in having their story beta read and/or proofread let me know.

Kathryn

Bonita Martin | 24 comments Hi Kathrine,
I'm Bonita. I'm currently writing a book about a Native American family and their psychiatric and chemical dependency problems, how these affect family and individual functioning.

Do you charge for your services? Would you be willing to look at my manuscript chapter-by-chapter?

Thank you!

Bonita

Jacqueline M Sinclair (goodreadscomjacq) | 16 comments Hi, Kathryn
I have a 33k prequel for an upcoming erotic series. That includes the first two chapters of the first book in the series. It's in stew mode while I wait for feedback and work on the series itself. It's gone through one round of betas, but I'm open for some more tough love, if you have the time. Here the working blurb:

Margaret Wilson is eighteen years old I. 1969. The Vietnam War is raging. Her mother is dying and her father is drowning in pain. She is sheltered, religious and completely unprepared to fall in love with William Steele.

William is the product of his family's reputation. The ultimate bad boy; handsome, rich and perpetuates generations of myths, truths and lies about his family, living up to the gossip.

Until he meets Margaret and everything changes. Can he tame his ways and be the man she needs, or will she throw caution to the wind and become every girl he's ever had?

Message me if it interests you.

Thanks,
Jacqueline

T.C. Michael Hello,

I'm trying to find a few beta readers to read my novel and provide feedback so I can proceed with a thorough revision. The book was originally published last year and has hit three Amazon best seller lists. It has had a profession edit so hopefull it won't be too rough to read. It is a young adult paranormal fantasy with a touch of romance. The manuscript is roughly 85,000 words.

Regards,

TC Michael
Here's the link to look over the book on Goodreads.

Shelby (shelbay9) | 34 comments Kathryn,

My name is Shelby and I'm looking for a Beta Reader for a novel I've been working on for many years. I'm at a point where I've read, and read, and read this book so many times that I honestly don't know where the ground is anymore.

SUMMARY:
The town of Riley has an abnormal way of swaying its residents from never leaving. Avery Philips was the last to move in to Riley, Alabama nine years ago. That is, until Liam and Agatha show up one night out of the blue. The two arriving begin to worry the folks of Riley when neither fit in. It doesn’t take long for a strand of murders to scare the citizens of Riley enough to ostracize them. The only association Liam and Agatha have to the town of Riley is Avery – who hasn’t realized her part yet in a much bigger game.

Best,
Shelby

Augustus Longstreet | 26 comments Hi Kathryn,

I am seeking beta reader for my 130k thriller, Killing in Kamchatka. Let me know if you are interested.

It's a “Tom Clancy meets The Relic” thriller, where one man's life is forever altered when the line between predator and prey blurs as he finds himself entangled in a cover-up.

I have been working on this novel since 2011. It has gone through several drafts and I wanted to bring this latest version out into the sunlight of beta readers. It is not erotic, and there is no cursing, but people die violently.

Thank you for your time.

Henry
