Have you read the one by Wiley Cash? Though, I don't know what Deep South is... hopefully, this qualifies: A Land More Kind Than Home.Or the books by Greg Iles?
Not sure how many thriller recommendations you will get since this is a cozy mystery group. ;-)Books by Greg Iles is a good choice.
Erica Spindler (one of my favorite thriller authors) writes almost all her thrillers based in Louisiana.
Karin Slaughter and Kay Hooper have series based in Georgia.
Bill Crider has several series based in Texas.
Did you have a particular state in mind?
Catherine wrote: "I like Magnolia Mystery series
is the first Set in Wilmington NC"This series by Ellen Elizabeth Hunter is one of my favorite series. I love it! However, I certainly wouldn't classify those books as "thriller". It's definitely a cozy mystery series.
Sorry about that. So here's one that might be classified as a thriller:
The Amazon description says it is a suspenseful adventure.
I was raised in Savannah Georgia. It's a beautiful city and am so glad I walked those street and saw the beautiful sites before it became a tourist attraction. The Original Savannah. Beautiful. So some of you miht be interested because of the beautiful scenery and history. Not sure if I can wait to see if I win or run to the bookstore 45 miles away and buy it!!!
I don't know if these fit the thriller category but most of John Grisham's books are set in the South -- The Client for example I think is mostly in Tennessee.
Anita wrote: "Angie Fox writes the Southern Spirits
series and it is set in the south and a lot of fun."I thinks that's more of a cozy than a thriller. It looks like a fun read.
