It mostly happens to people using the app or mobile version, but it occurs on the desktop too. I haven't no idea why haha

I'm looking for some advice! My goal was to read 50 books this year but I'm not even half way. I need to read a book and a half a week & I have no clue how I'm going to do that! Someone please help!
Sorry if this doesn't make sense. I'm half asleep.
Kelsey, firstly, welcome to the group! :) I hope you like it. I'd like to stress that if you're too busy to read 50 books, you need not compel yourself to read so much. You can lower your goal if you want. However, if you really want to do your 50 books goal, then you will have to make time to read in your schedule. Since I'm a fast reader, I can read one book a day. Hence, I've never faced this problem. But don't get the idea that you can complete it only if you're a fast reader. All you have to do is read. Starting with, I'd suggest dedicating some time to read. 30 minutes - 1 hour is perfect. Some people read just before going to bed, and I think that is a good plan. Also, if you're motivated to read, then you can complete your challenge with ease. I'd suggest joining buddy reads and reading challenges. We have buddy reads here, but we have just one reading challenge now, although I am making plans to bring in more. Then reading splurges are a nice idea too. This is where you fix a certain time to read with another person (let's say from 5:00 to 5:30 - for 30 minutes), then you come back and discuss how much you've read and how it was. Also, read during free time and weekends. It's a good way of relaxing for normal routines. Remember you don't have to force yourself to read; you can read whenever you have time. Besides, Goodreads is not going to hire assassins to get rid of those who haven't completed their challenge, so keep calm and read at your own pace :)

Attention please!
I'd appreciate it if you went here and answered the questions for ideas on reading challenges.

Well, you don't have to force yourself to like YA. Everyone's tastes vary, so don't worry about it. Many love romance, but I hate it.
But if you do want to try out some books, I'd recommend Divergent, Inkheart, The Hunger Games (my personal favourites)
If you'd prefer the Fault in Our Stars setting, then I think Me Before You deserves a try.
