Regina Foo (reginafoomy) | 14 comments Few weeks ago, I discovered this website that allows me to assess my reading speed and get the estimated number of days to finish a book.

The picture shown above is a prediction for A Game of Thrones based on my reading speed.

If I compare my reading completion date of fiction and non-fiction books, I tend to finish reading a fiction faster than a non-fiction, but of course, that depends on the quality and content of the book.

I normally spend about 3 to 5 days to finish a 300 to 400 pages fiction. As I seldom read non-fiction, the only non-fiction book I finished reading in a day is Bob No Ordinary Cat by James Bowen.

Do you read fast in both fiction and non-fiction books? How fast can you read in a minute? How long do you usually spend to finish reading a book?

Thats cool! but that wont work on me as Im not the kind of reader who finishes reading in one sitting so it'll probably took me days, weeks even, if I'm busy.

Azbaqiyah Long ago I was a fast reader, one book for a week. Now since I'm busy with my office work it took me a whole months for one book. And I always read more than one book at the same time. So that the main reason why it took so long to finished it.

I don't see it as reading time in one setting but as the accumulated time for me to finish reading a book. If let's say I read 2 hours per day, then I'll need at least 5 days to finish A Game of Thrones in the above example.

Hajar Y, (quillandkindle) | 19 comments Do you read fast in both fiction and non-fiction books?
It mostly depends on the genre in both categories but in general, I don't think that I'm a fast reader regardless to the material that I'm reading.

How fast can you read in a minute?
A prediction for my current read, King of Thorns: You read 136 words in 26 seconds and your average speed is 314 words per minute. You will take 5 hours and 52 minutes to complete this book.

How long do you usually spend to finish reading a book?
I would say within a week. It's tough to calculate because I tend to read a few books at once but it would certainly take considerably longer if I'm reading heavy non-fiction and certain classics.
