I was totally going to bring up Powell's, but it looks like Greg beat me to it. Great bookstore. I might even like it more than the Strand...
I did a lot of biking all over Oregon when I visited last summer. It was beautiful! I hope to visit again someday.
I don't typically read YA, but Throne of Glass is a series that has piqued my interest. I love me some kickass women :)

I really enjoyed the Infernal Devices series too although I haven't read any of the others you mentioned. I'll have to look them up, thanks!

Enjoy your first trip to Powell's Luca! The parking was a little bewildering for me - I ended up parking on the street somewhere and walking. Other than that, it was fantastic!
My favorite part about Powell's is that I can compare different translations of foreign works & poetry because they have such a massive stock of used books. When I order those things online I always end up with a translation I don't like. I will almost certainly go there when I pass through Portland on the way to Grant's Pass one week after you.
Welcome Luca! I too like YA. It's so much better that when I was a kid. It's fun to read and talk about books with my grandkids too. And, Supernatural Rules!!!

My name is Raul, I'm 22, and I am gay. I live in Los Angeles, CA. I am also a dancer
I haven't read any books centered around the LGBTQ community, so if you have any recs, shoot them my way.
Glad to be part of this group. Excited to see what you guys share :)
Hi Raul and welcome!
Take a look at the groups bookshelves for suggestions by genre. What are you interested in: m/m romance, Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Literary fiction, non-fiction... ?

Actually I'm going to visit my friend Zahra in Grants Pass in a couple weeks. I miss her very much and am looking forward to it! Oregon is a lovely green state, and the Portland bookstore Powell's Books is something wonderful.
I haven't read the Infernal Devices trilogy, but I did enjoy the Mortal Instruments books. What is ToG?
Hope it's ok - I'm.moving this post to the "Introduce Yourself" folder with the rest of the introductions. Anyway a warm welcome to the group, and happy reading!
