on avg each chapter is 20 pages, some are smaller than that and some are longer so if someone is lagging behind he can easily cover it.

Would love to see the reviews of everyone

I would absolutely love to hear everyone’s thoughts on this amazing classic!
How many of us are Done with it? I am still reading BTW... :p strange thing is that the book I have has 20 chapters :o n the pdf had 13

I hardly get time to read a few pages everyday *gasp*.
But I’m trying. I’ll get there. I will.
Zarshal wrote: "@Misty mine has 20 too ._.

then sorry for the incomplete schedule :P
Plus i am almost done as well. Will finish it in a day or two.

All those who are done with the book already can share their views about it.

I always thought you could have both. But now I believe that you, in fact, can’t have both beauty and brains. You’ll always have one on the cost of another. And as long as you’re choosing, why not choose something that’s going’s to last, right? It’s a pretty straightforward answer if you come to think about it.
But then again, if you’ve already chosen beauty over brains, how’re you going to think about it? xD

""the mirror of his soul that he was looking at. Vanity? Curiosity? Hypocrisy? Had there been nothing
more in his renunciation than that? There had been something more. At least he thought
so. But who could tell?…No. There had been nothing more. Through vanity he had spared
her. In hypocrisy he had worn the mask of goodness. For curiosity’s sake he had tried the
denial of self. He recognised that now""
as one can tell from this review I absolutely Loved it!!!!
For me, this book is about young age and young age decisions that we make in emotions, and later we regret them. Of which the main decision the wisdom vs beauty.
As Henry says, The advantage of the emotions is that they lead us astray, and the advantage of science is that it is not emotional.
Henry is a man of pleasure and has said many disturbing things and on the other side Dorian is like gel can be molded in any way by influence and he is so empty and does not know what he wants.

It's been a whole year since someone posted in this group.
Hey everyone. How're you all doing? Busy I bet. But do get some time out of your busy schedules to catch up.
It's weirdly cathartic. And nostalgic.
Hope to hear from y'all soon.
Ciao

Hullo,
Not sure if you'd remember me , I haven't commented in a while but I do check in every month or so . It's always a bittersweet affair. Everyone has long since moved on and that's saddening but at the same time I'm reminded of the good memories and friends I've made here.
Goodreads was my first ever social media presence and there's something very nostalgic to me about the message board style of it
It was a good time to be alive.

Ofcourse I remember you xD you’re the first ever person I actually talked to in this group. Actually I think that was jogi but you know how that interaction goes.
Any way, I didn’t open my Goodreads for like 7 8 months and then I did the other day and I felt so sad about this thread being inactive for so long. We’ve had so much fun here! And I couldn’t help but comment. And well, no one replied after that but I knew someone would some time.
You’re right about the nostalgia. I think every one of us has made some good memories in this place.
I hope when we’re all done adulting in real life, we’ll come back here again.

Haha it's nice to know I'm remembered around here lol. My first interaction was jogi too and he trolled me so bad. It's a really fond memory now XD.
I actually meant to comment a few days ago but my old email got deleted and goodreads wouldn't let me lol.
As for the nostalgia I think this was such a happy place because no one was ever negative here. Everyone always vibing for lack of better words. Even Genio for all his antics was our friendly neighborhood troll.
I'd love for this group to become active again. I've never quite found any place on the internet like it. Even the games were just text posts but so so fun. Not to mention Pakistani readers is where my passion for writing really took off
