Hey!
A very long time no see! xD How are you?
Great to have you back in BR! ^^

Who is having online classes these days?
Mine will start from 13th."
Alhamdulillah no classes for me.

Frankly, I don’t really want them to start online classes. We can’t learn engineering reading books. There are labs and stuff which they can’t teach us through a couple of video lectures and books.
About the book, Ahmed can you please upload an epub copy? I can’t download it from your drive I don’t know what’s wrong.. :(

Good for you, bud!

I'm an engineering student too so my argument was same..We can't learn lab's stuff by just a couple of videos...
We requested for the cancellation of online classes but koi faida ni hua...Rector explained the reasons of continuing online learning and to be honest he was not wrong too..
Now uni has come up with the best solution. And I think it's not a bad deal:
They have decided to deliver online classes for two pure theoretical courses (no labs at all) and these courses will be completed from 13th April to 31st May. After that, when uni will be opened IA, they will cover the labs and remaining courses..
I think that's the best deal we students can get in this unpredictable situation...
Bs thora sa nuksaan ye hoga k summer vacations boht km hongi..or semester lamba ho jaye ga...I guess khair ha given the situation...
For now till 13th April, I'm full wailla. xD

I don’t know what our university’s gonna do. Lekin tab tak I’m learning what I can khudi. Softwares and stuff.

Mine are two courses:
Engineering Professionalism
Probability Methods in Engineering..
yeah...In this time khudse zyada mehnat krni pre gi.. :(

hahaha...lucky you!
But I think university life is much better than college's. I suffered a hell lot in college...😅😅

but heeey at least all coursera courses are free for us now, thanks Uni

There are five women and the book is divided into five parts, one part per woman. We can divide the rest of the days of April into five parts, which gives us 5 days to read each part. We can discuss each part-slash-woman after five days.
What do you guys say?

Done

Same! 😅
13 to 5th June.

Ahan....good for you.. :)
I'm also doing some online courses, but all will be over after 13th.. 😅
It's a good thing they'll just teach 2 courses online... :)

Softwares mostly.
@Abdullah, Goodluck for when your actual summer vacation months arrive xD

Try this: https://go.coursera.org/FxpldQtRxV1S

I suggest CS50.

Coursera is better for when you want to specialize in a subject.

Which programming language?

I suggest CS50.

This seems amazing...we've already covered most of it in uni...but I guess I'd use this link for different perspective on things
Thanks. ^^

Although I’m still wondering why learning programming is a pre-req for an AutoCAD course. I’ve already learned AutoCAD before C++ and didn’t encounter a single issue.
Who decides our syllabus and courses?!?

Actually, it's related but not that deeply. AutoCAD also has its own programming language called AutoLISP which is used to write code for repetitive tasks while working on a long project.
I'm doing the AutoCAD course this semester and also was not understanding why programming is the pre-rec...I googled the answer at that moment...😅😅
But as far as the uni is concerned, I'm not getting why it's the pre-requisite because our professor told us we are not gonna work with AutoLISP. So, technically, it makes sense, but my uni wise, it doesn't...😂
Maybe you guys will work on it in your uni...

For OOP (pre-rec for C++):

I learned C and C++ from this man. I guess he is the best. Because our uni professor was not good for beginners and most of the times I missed a lot of things in the lec. I also tried to learn from many videos on YouTube but found this man the best. I'd recommend if you watch his lectures then listen at the speed of 1.5
Because he speaks way too slow.😅😅 At least for me..

Are you studying Civil Engineering?

Are you studying Civil Engineering?"
Ahan... right...We're also doing just designing...
Nope, I'm doing Computer Engineering from COMSATS, Lahore.
No problem..I hope you'll like those videos..

You're right....
As I'm doing Computer Engineering (CE), we are also told the same thing
Actually, CE is 60% computer hardware and 40% software. It's the manufacturing of computer, mobiles etc from scratch.
We don't have enough manufacturing industries in Pakistan, we are helpless but to join software houses...
Only Computer Engineers can do both software and hardware jobs..or hybrid.
Otherwise engineers would have to do software freelancing if not their actual jobs.

Even I myself think Computer Engineering is not suitable for Pakistan..
But shoq ha computer ko A to Z samjhne ka... hardware and and software included...so yeah..😅

Its just so frustrating at times..
@Jogi, freelancing is a good backup plan.

Ahan... it's also the type of engineering which cannot be learnt much from internet as a lot of field work is included.
Best of luck! 👍
May odds be in your favour.

I'm doing absolutely nothing with CS50. I don't know which AI course you're talking about. I did deeplearning.ai's specialization on coursera last year but I haven't done anything useful with that knowledge so far. Over and out.

the link youtube you have shared is CS50 from edx of computer science . recently they started another course called CS50 AI with python. so I was asking if you taking it as well.

Well, I wouldn't need that. I already know enough to do state-of-the-art work in AI if I wanted, but I'm lazy af. Plus Uni work is on my tail so it's hard to find time and energy for my own pursuits.
