I think the book had a literal effect on me and j became a turtle. A slow turtle but not steady.Anyway, done.

Not yet, yday i spent a good ten minutes going through previous suggestions, so we will have at least something to choose from. I have nothing in my mind, except 'Becoming'

Oh no. I'm reading Becoming right now. I don't think it is suitable for a buddy read. Either of purple or the anthology you suggested is fine by me.
