And I would have loved to know more about the mad-woman. Like she could perform magic right? So how come she wasn't witch or something?
I thought magic was a recessive trait of Luna passed to her by mother and was activated by the moonlight in her.
@Nigham @AakashYeah exactly, if magic was just activated by moonlight than mad-woman never drank moonlight, maybe story should have explained that the family in village with moon mark, inherit magic and there is some special way to activate it.

Maybe madness triggered it, Aakash. But still doesn't explain other things.

Good to see you!
Hi, I've just started following this thread. I'd like to join in the buddy reads from now on too. I read TNC a few days ago, and I'd be happy to share my thoughts once you folks are done
It was one of those books that I didn't really want to finish. The magical dreamlike atmosphere of the story drew me in. The descriptions conjured up vivid images, and it's remarkable how the recurrent black and white of the circus doesn't get boring. A beautiful story, wonderful and at times, terrifying.
People! You zindaaa? Want to have an April read or what? And of not then lets select a may read. LIKE ALWAYS I will go for fantasy :P
Aakash wrote: "I AM READING but am behind!!! :P"Haha tell, something new zara? Anything 'new' these days? :P

I saw your rating, glad you really liked it. :)"
I liked the magic world!
SPOILER
but the ending was "sab hansi khushi rehny lagy" all going well suddenly and even without fighting the witch. I would say I liked the first half of the story.
