Rob is a little careless . I don't like him that much. Though he still has that intimate relationship with Em that gives him an edge.
Jake looks normal to me so far. I mean come on , you're all happy and trying to start a life with a new baby to come in your life and then suddenly you discover that a long lost child of your wife with her ex has returned. And then your wife is hugging and crying on her ex's shoulder . You'd surely feel uneasy that you can't even console your wife. So you'd surely act weird. As for his immediate strange behavior, it can be because he doesn't want any more complications in their lives

Well I am perfectly on the schedule. And I think we shouldn't discuss the parts of the book ahead of schedule. Nonetheless this is my current opinion and I am sure that it will change soon :)

@Ahmed , I'll follow the schedule because of my routine and because we can't finish the book in 10 days and then sit idle for rest of the 20 days , now can we? Hmm apparently till today's task ie. ch 18, Jake looks suspicious . But I'll still hold my opinion on him as a nice person. Though his method of commanding Aiden is creepy

You can't just reveal those things without a spoiler alert. because those are ahead of schedule. You may read it according to your own wish. But the discussion must be according to the schedule unless spoiler alert is there. And the schedule is supposed to be made according to the complete month. And it is made by general opinion of people . It's logical. Because we can't read a book in a week and then wait for whole month. Please use spoiler alerts. I'll be thankful to you :) But if all of the members have read it before schedule and there is a lot of time left than we may ask our mod for starting another buddy read in the same month. But it depends on the opinion of seniors like @Amna, @Nigham , etc and the participants of buddy read. :)
P.S.the book is almost ruined for me Because that suspense is now lost . Now I'll just have to read and wait for it to happen :(

Hahaha same here. There was once a Time when I also finished buddy read in a few days because of curiosity. Now it takes me ages because of studies 😭. But good days will come inshAllah.

Yes the story is interesting. I am reading it don't worry. No need to say sorry. It's everyone's thread. :)
Spoilers are not prohibited . Just put them with a spoiler alert. That's it. That way all of us can discuss but the spoilers will remain hidden from the ones still behind. :)

@AbdullahI am soooo sorry for spoiling parts of the book. :( I know it's my mistake. It will not happen again in future. I will be very careful. I am also sorry for I didn't follow the schedule. I will try hard in the next month to follow it.

@Elsa thank you. Well my theory is that Aiden is really suffering from that syndrome and he can speak but he is quiet. I am regretting my decision of trusting Jake so much. But still the story is missing some parts which I guess I'll know as I read further. And I am also waiting for Aiden's reaction when Jake is caught (if Jake really is the culprit)

Abdullah, I feel that toooooooooo! Half of the book I spent thinking that Aiden had severe stockholm syndrome :( It was kinda sad and depressing.

Hugh came out of nowhere. I actually thought it was quite absurd.
I thought about Hugh I figured it out at about 60%
