Genio, when reality has pushed you to the brink of depression, has taken away every ounce of your self-confidence and twisted you in every way possible you tend to gravitate towards fantasy. And don't worry, I tend to make my fantasies, my realities some day.

Did the opposite to me. I got sick of fantasies, sick of thinking about suicide, sick of everything. Ended up where I always was without knowing why: in reality. But now I knew why, by an assemblage of proofs by contradiction. Hope you get by too.
Zarshal wrote: "Hello people. Hope you don't mind me joining in too? What's on the menu this month?"Do join this month's buddy read! It's going to be a big one, I suppose. :D
Well, it seems we will be reading Silent Child.

I sure hope so! But the thing is I don't think about suicides as my fantasies. I see my dreams and aspirations and then hold on to them tight because they are the only thing that is keeping me afloat and in my senses (I know it's ironical, fantasies keeping you in reality). Or I just lose myself in a fake world. That is my way of coping with this one.

Okayyyy! AND I hope it turns out to be good. I am going in with high expectations!
@ElsaHonestly, I donβt have that high expectations. For it's kind of dark thriller. I love thriller. But haven't read a dark one. So it's gonna be a totally new experience for me.
From the synopsis, it sounds interesting.
Aakash wrote: "book is finalized?"Officially not. But the voting result shows we are reading Silent Child.

*Feels so good to hear that :P *
Perfectttttt!! I feel like dancing a jig. Idk why! Thanks for the schedule, Abdullah! *whispers* This is going to be my first buddy read ever.
Aakash wrote: "its 416 pages... am I right?"According to Goodreads, it is. But according to my mobile, it is just 276 pages long. π See, there is a huge difference between a real page and a page of mobile.
Amna wrote: "489 in the ePub version that I have."What?! How's it possible? Which application you are using?
Amna wrote: "I'm using iBooks."Hmm..! I am using UB Reader. Oh, now I understand. Pages varies from app to app and maybe device to device. Because Font size and margins are different for different apps.
I use very small font size. Kind of increases the words per line which makes me to read fast.
Amna wrote: "I keep my font at a relatively medium size so that's probably why my version has more pages."Possibly.
Elsa wrote: "Perfectttttt!! I feel like dancing a jig. Idk why! Thanks for the schedule, Abdullah! *whispers* This is going to be my first buddy read ever."The first buddy read is always exciting :D
