Well, I am little shocked. I don't have a single physical book yet. But I really wish to buy some books, especially Harry Potter and Artemis Fowl series because I adore them. I am just living on ebooks. By the way, they aren't that bad. But hard copies have their own charm. I can understand.

I am not at all surprised by its high rating. It had such an awesome humour in it . The author did not focus on the origin of life and Gods ...He focused on comedy . And being a controversial topic doesn't mean one can not talk about it. And if you remember , he didn't prove any of these things. they were just an idea of his and its just fiction . Religiously speaking , if you have problem with this novel because it depicts some things that are against religion, then I think you must have some serious reservations on Harry Potter series too because it shows a lot of things against religion . And that doesn't mean that I am being secular here. In fact I am a rigid conservative myself (that's what they say about the people who like the most modern religion) .
I just want to say that I will rate it according to its comedy . I also don't like a few things in the book but I wont let those factors cloud my judgement of the book :)

I was saying that because normally people get furious on controversial topics. Otherwise I don't have problem with this book at all. The rating of the book is right according to the enjoyment it provides.
I agree. He didn't didn't prove anything. He just raised the questions and left them in humorous way. I myself loved this book as a humorous and fictional work.
And I don't compare religion and fictional books. I think you have an idea why. Religion and Fiction are two very different things. I understand.
I rated this book according to its plot and humor. Because I liked both.
