loved that book, Summer was great, up untill Start of December i had all the time in the world to do anything i wanted. but then started a job and everything changed.
I finally got my Sci-fi mojo back,But I think I'm still far behind you guys.I'll be on track in afew days hopefully:))You're right, It's the busy time of the year,Almost everyone is busy with exams or something else.Yeh shaadiyon ka bhe to season haiXD

Good to see you back, you will surely catch up soon because everyone is going lazy except Nigham :D , and its only 13 of the month still 17 days to finish
Zoha wrote: "Hello everyone ! I am new here. What are you guys reading ?"
Welcome Zoha
We are reading "Illuminae" here

Thank you Narjis
How do you like it so far ?
Is it worth-reading ?
Can I catch you guys up ?
WELCOME ZOHA!It's pretty great if you like Sci-fi.
YES,It's definitely worth reading.*sigh*
AND I don't know the answer to your last Q,But I think you can join in:))
@Ayesha- She asked who wants to participate in the group read... and we were like me... meeee too... And like Aakash said, "vanished like a mystery"... vo gaaib ho gai on the exact day we were going to start the book. And in place of her name... "deleted user" jagmaga raha tha. :p @Aakash- She was a lovely lady, that's all! Most of the threads of this group (Pakistani Readers) were created by her... including the introduction vala thread. And yes her name was Sara minus evil smirk. :p :D
@Amna- Old days, girl... old days! *sighs*
@Narjis- I didn't participate in the December read... ab hisaab brabar. Haha! :p
@Zoha- Welcome... hope you like it here... :)
I am totally loving it. Yeah, you should give it a try, and yes you can join the thread if you have no plans of leaving it after starting the book. :p Plus the book has about 600 pages and we have 16 days left to finish it. Usually someone assigns daily reading task ... but this time it's different and we are trying to manage the read on our own. :) And also there is competition of laziness going on... Stay and enjoy!
Nigham wrote: "@Ayesha- She asked who wants to participate in the group read... and we were like me... meeee too... And like Aakash said, "vanished like a mystery"... vo gaaib ho gai on the exact day we were goin..."
I never knew there is an introduction thread as well!!! o_O

1-Too difficult to make friends
2-So mush pretentiousness
3-Creeps are everywhere,Private messaging you randomly.
@Ayesha Thank you :)) Never read Sci-fi before (except if you count stupid genetic memory, a sci-fi which i don't. )
And i think I am going to give it a try.
@Nigham Thank you girl :))
I never quit the book except when it is super boring and I start having suicidal thoughts if I continued :D
Usually I read 600 pages in less than 3 days ( if I am really into a book and have less hectic college schedule )
@Nigham rightly said, the competition of laziness :D, I'm out of it now because I dedicated my precious sunday to Illuminae, and liked it so much, now I'm in "hard to stop" mode, lol@Zoha Its an interesting and unique kind of book, give it a try...
@Aakash- Lol! You directly attacked on the thread, "First Word Followers". :v @Ayesha- Creeps? Haha! Lady! We live in an imaginary world most of the time... day dreaming and all! That's exactly how the life of a bibliophile should be. :p
#keep #fighting #creeps :D
@Zoha- You're welcome. And Sci-Fi is not THAT bad. :p
@Narjis- Wait... wait... You have finished the book? O.o
Okay... mera ye Sunday qurbaaan hua. XD
INNA LILLAH E WA INNA ELAHI RAJIOOOON!
YESSSSSSS,I've officially abandoned this book, for now.I don't know about you guys( I think Nigham and Narjis liked it/liking it),But It's boring as hell for me.
@Ayesha- Lady! You have just missed a fantastic read. :pI too have finished the book, Narjis. :) Really reallllly loooooooved it. <3
An outstanding book with an unexpected ending and such a superb... marvelous and unique way of telling the story.
What's more? Warner Brothers and Brad Pitt's Plan B Entertainment have teamed up to adapt Illuminae. :)
It's more than a gif, people. The cover is actually two covers—on the outside, there’s a transparent acetate wrap, with “windows” that show through to the hardback cover underneath.
That's what Jay Kristoff (one of the writers) says about the book cover. Salman, is that so?
OMG! Give me another more reason for Standby-ing it. I think the main attraction about illuminae is its asthetic value,Which I'm certainly not enjoying in the e-book. Being the girly girl I am, I want to read this awesome sounding book in a hardback.THEY ARE MAKING A MOVIE!! ASDFGHJKL!
yes Nigham it is exactly like that. mostly in hardcovers we get all the designs on jacket cover and hardback is mostly plain. but In this book we get orange See through jack with some transparent parts to see the Hardcover which is full of text, lines synopsis, reviews with some redacted parts which we can see. all in all it is one gorgeous books cover i have ever seen.https://www.google.com.pk/imgres?imgu...
Ayesha wrote: "... Which I'm certainly not enjoying in the e-book."White fonts on black background hurts my eyes making it harder to read and producing (dot-like) after-images. And that was the only problem I dealt with. Otherwise, e-books are just fine. :p
@Salman- Gonna buy this booook!
Nigham wrote: "Ayesha wrote: "... Which I'm certainly not enjoying in the e-book."White fonts on black background hurts my eyes making it harder to read and producing (dot-like) after-images. And that was the o..."
YAY,
buy when you do please buy it in Hardback not paperback, it is more fun and beautiful
Nigham wrote: "Sure, Salman.Zinda ho ya urrr gay saary??? O.o "
I'm alive :D
It's time for new book, right? and who is choosing this time?
Nigham wrote: "Haha, exactly. You came without my, "Narjis-sunti-ho-wali-call". :D I think it's Zarish's turn. O.o"
Aap nay bulia hee nai :P
Ayesha wrote: "what are we reading this time???I hope its not scifi."Whatever Zarish say..........
The thing I like about buddy read is, we get chance to read different genres, choice of different persons, in this way we read out of own choice box, which is like reading adventure.
I bought three books this month...so I'm technically " kangal".My bucketlist includes buying allll the hardbacks in the world.
you're spot on narjis...I got to read soon many different books with you guys.....best welcoming committee ever!!!!!!
Narjis wrote: "The thing I like about buddy read is, we get chance to read different genres, choice of differ..."Yes, and without this thread we won't even try to explore other genres. Like I never read the Dystopia and Apocalyptic until Aakash suggested, Uglies.
Ayesha wrote: "best welcoming committee ever!!!!!!"<3 <3 <3 See? That's why I want Sarah to come back. :)
Ayesha wrote: "you're spot on narjis...I got to read soon many different books with you guys.....best welcoming committee ever!!!!!!"Sure! more members, more fun...

haha!! yea she was active like till we started the book and then just vanished like a mystery, A Farishtha, who was sent by god to create a beautiful thread like this where we will stick together for a long time! :3 :) :P [[ i guess, she used to call herself sara. ]]
And on 21/20 may it will be almost a year of this thread! :P And future is uncertain
