Alexander Hicks (alexander_h) | 11 comments Hello everyone,

Recently I've published a novel (Living Companion) for which I would like to get some feedback. Please, I cannot stress enough, a review is not mandatory, though, of course, it is more than welcome if anyone wishes to post it on Goodreads or wherever else. Informal Pm, email, or even a sincere rating regarding impressions, would be most appreciated.

Instead of extorting a favor out of many sci/fi-fantasy-dystopia (all genres which I genuinely appreciate and often read) readers-writers, it would do me most good to hear opinions from community members who are familiar with works from, for instance, Saramago, Berrnhard or Kafka, hence the literary style in general. Of course, anyone else willing to read is welcome as well.

Most basic summary of the novel would be as follows:

A man obsessed with his work, tormented by inability to produce it and imprisoned by unfailing devotion to the cause of his madness. Struggling with anxiety and indifference, he shares lodging with a painter, a free-spirited woman, who could very well be his ruin.

Burdened with perpetual observations, one thing surfaces as inevitable - he is compelled to ceaselessly think, awaiting for the end of his life work, or his own.

Word of note: It is written largely in paragraph-lack style, though with clearly perceptible dialogue.

It would be my pleasure to provide a free copy in whichever format for your convenience. There’s neither timetable nor obligation for completing the reading, an attempt is more than enough.

I would be happy to swap opinions or reviews, but only in the similar genre.

Susan Stevenson Hello. I would be more than happy to review your book. However it would have to be in paperback format if that is possible ?
