Thanks for confirming...also, I realized I confused the task and listed it as Option B rather than Option A, so when you listed it in approved books, you followed my lead and put Option B! Sorry for the confusion and I was looking for the Movie Option A!

Christine | 932 comments Could you please verify this book for Option 2 (the one book option)?

The Stand by Stephen King

For element B, it is #25 on the NPR Top 100 list. For element C, it has a paved road on the cover. This edition is the audiobook, but the top MMP lists a page count of 1167 pages.

Thanks!

Yes, this works. I am linking it to the paperback with the same cover, which lists 1440 pages. Enjoy.

These are both paved roads, so both books work.

Hi Elishia! I'm so sorry it took me so long to respond to this. I was out of town.

Amy and Roger's Epic Detour definitely works because of the paved road.

When One Door Opens doesn't work as horizon means when earth meets sky, and this is more of a skyline than a horizon.

This satisfies Option B, it's number 64 on the NPR Top 100 Sci-Fi/Fantasy List, and I believe it satisfies Option C, you can see the road going on. It's 846 pages.

Unfortunately, I don't think so. I cannot tell if that is a road. Fortunately, I think this book would work for a couple of other tasks. Good luck :)

Donna Jo Atwood | 2412 comments Sirena, wondering if Scratchgravel Road (Josie Gray Mysteries, #2) by Tricia Fields shows a clear enough horizon at least along the right and left sides about 1/3 of the way from the bottom. On the book that white cloud obscures it in the middle over the car.

If it won't work, don't worry--I've got time to fine another.

Sorry I missed your previous post. The Strange Affair of Spring Heeled Jack has a paved road, so that one works for C.

Tooth and Claw technically shows the earth meeting the sky, so I think it works, too. BUT I think the other book works better. :) Enjoy.

I guess technically the earth is meeting the sky, which is the technical term for horizon, so I think Buffalo for the Broken Heart: Restoring Life to a Black Hills Ranch works.
