Athena smiled and eyed the two hungry kits. "Let's see how you fight." She said.

((Er, the two sisters are next together so you could have just left it that way))

Athena frowned. "No claws." She said. "I would hate for you to get hurt."

Star tilted her head, "Why do we have to fight?"

Athena roared and pummled into Forest, knocking him onto the ground.

((Ergh, didn't even have time to post before you jump on her >_< ))

Star yowled and went limp, when her brother's grip loosened, she rolled over and pummeled her hind legs into Forest's stomach.

Athena glared down at Forest. "Didn't you hear me?!" She yelled and stepped off of him. "This is also a test of direction, speed, agility, strength."

Star got back to her feet and licked her shoulders carefully. She glared at Forest.

((He only hurt her because he cheated and Star was still trying to talk to Athena >.<))

Athena then whipped back around and clawed one claw through Forest's back. "That's for hurting your sister." She said. "Star, you need to be faster."

Star huffed, "I was still eating and trying to ask why!" She protested and glared at Forest again. "He won't get the jump on me again!"

"Forest, you're not thinking before you attack." She said and looked directly at him.

Athena stamped a paw on the ground. "Shut it!" She yelled.

Star puffed out her chest and looked disapprovingly at Forest. "Why does he have to act out all the time?"

Athena sighed. "Fine!" She yelled frustratedly. "If you would just listen, maybe you'd learn somethinf!" She sat down and unsheathed her claws.

Star widened her eyes and flinched back from Athena. She shot a look at Forest, "Stop making mommy scary!"

Athena watched him. Seems afraid when I threaten them... She thought as she made little notes in her mind about what she should teach them.

"That's not true." She said with a smirk. "Learn and you won't get hurt."

"I wasn't being slow! I wanted to know why we had to fight." Star growled at Forest, lashing her tail.

"No, a good warrior wouldn't fight without a good reason." Star sat up tall and fixed a stern look at her little brother.

Athena rolled her eyes and looked at Star. "Star, come with me." She said. "I'm teaching you two separate."

"Okay!" Star hopped to her feet excitedly, "But won't he beat on Stream?" She cast a worried glance at her small sister.

Athena shook her head. "If he hurts Stream, he will get it." She said and looked at Forest. "Forest, I will teach you tomorrow."

Star nodded and got ready to follow Athena. "What are you going to teach me?"

Stream looked around the den waiting for her mother to come back. She wanted to learn how to hunt, but she was too small.

Stream looked at Forest, she laid down next to him.

Athena walked in with a thrush and vole dangling from her mouth. Star was padding along next to her. She smiled when she saw the two kits snuggled up close.

Star frowned at Forest, that was a complete reversal of his behavior! She shrugged and eyed the thrush hanging from her mother's mouth.

Stream looked up, her eyes brightened as she saw them.

"Hi Stream!" Star mewed confidently and padded up to her siblings.

Stream looked at him confused,"Hello," she said looking at Forest still.

Athena set the kill down and looked at Forest. "Forest, I caught something just for you!" She said with a smile.

Star looked at Forest sadly, "What is his problem?" She shuffled her paws and looked up at Athena, "Is he mad you trained me instead?"

Athena shrugged. "Not sure." She said.

Star frowned at her brother. "Mother can Stream and I share the thrush?" She blinked up at Athena.

Athena frowned. "Forest, come here please. You don't have to eat, just come talk to me." She flicked her tail at Star, motioning her away for a moment.

Stream eyes brightened again.

Athena nodded and pushed the thrush to her daughters.

Athena huffed. "You're not old enough and that's final!" She called to him. "It's either eat or starve."

Star smiled and pushed the thrush over to Stream, "Try it! It's delicious!" She wanted to try and encourage her sister to start eating meat too.

Stream took a bite slowly, trying not to listen to the fighting.

Athena glared and marched up to him. "You dare say that again." She snarled and picked him up by his scruff.

Star listened with wide eyes and a frown. "Why does Forest have to be such a mouse-brain!" She huffed and took a bite of the thrush, nodding at Stream. "How is it?"

Athena growled and walked into the cave and dropped Forest onto the floor. Then she bat him across the head three times. "Why are you like this?!" She screamed at him. "I hunt for you, I care for you, I mother you! And all you do it hate me!!!"

Stream looked at her, "It's good." She looked at Forest, her eyes went sad.

Star frowned as she watched her mother scold her brother. She sighed and kept eating. When she was full she flopped onto her side and stretched her front and back legs.

"You are too young." She said and stamped a paw on the ground. "You will learn when you are older. I swear. But if you act nicer towards Star and especially me your mother maybe I will teach you earlier." She said and became more sad. "I wonder sometimes if you hate me."

Athena frowned and licked his head. "Tell you what." She said and sat down. "When I see that you are good enough to learn how to hunt along with your sisters, I will teach you first."

Stream ate more of her food now that they weren't fighting, she closed her eyes after to rest.
