Leaf picked up a thrush and carried it to Forest. "Hungry?" She asked. "I am. Oh, hello mother."

Star frowned at Rosewood, what was she doing here now. She shuffled her paws wondering if her home was going to be stolen away from her and her siblings. Her tail flicked and Star studied the blades of grass in front of her.
Leaf padded up to the kill pile and scanned it. It was lower than she thought. "I think I might go hunting..." She said reluctantly and looked at Forest. She then turned to the entrance and walked towards it.
Leaf glanced at Forest but quickly turned back. She walked faster and finally reached the entrance. She stretched a little before she exited.
Leaf awoke and yawned. She rose to her paws and looked around. "Rosew-..." She was about to ask for her mother but remembered she was on her own now.
Leaf looked at Forest and smiled. Just then, her father burst into the enclosure and grabbed her by her scruff. "Dad?" She asked confused. "Hey! Let me down!"
Runner growled at Forest and turned to the exit. "You're coming home to live with your parents." He grumbled.
Runner put Leaf down and grumbled her for her to stay there. He charged up to Forest and looked him directly in the eyes. "She will not be staying with you." He snapped.
Runner nodded sternly and picked Leaf up. He gave Forest one last glare before he left. "No!" Leaf yelled.
Star frowned when Runner took Leaf away, with her brother following. She peered around the enclosure, having it to herself for the first time. She could hear the wind whispering through the plants and leaves, bounce off of the brick wall and circle around to the dens. There was an eery silence about it that chilled Star to the bone. The large kit trembled nervously, spooked. Her tail bristled and she crouched down in the grass. She didn't like being alone. This felt horrible. She buried her nose under her paws for a few moments and prayed that this was all a dream.
Star flicked an ear, barely hearing Stream's voice. She had been thinking, and had decided that maybe she should go find someplace to live, teach her how to take care of herself. A place where someone was there to look out for her and she could return the favor. Star lifted her head up, slowly blinking her eyes open as she peered at where Stream's voice came from. A small smile appeared on Star's face when she spotted her sister. "Hello Stream."
"I missed you too." Star smiled at the other two. "Forest and Leaf had been staying here too, but I'm not sure if they'll be back..." She paused and looked down at her paws. "Where have you two been? I thought you'd be back earlier."
Star frowned, "I see." She flicked her tail, the fur had smoothed out since Stream and Smoke had arrived. "Well, promise me you'll be safe? I think I might leave the forest..."
Star's paws trembled slightly, "It doesn't feel right here anymore. It's cold and empty." She whispered quietly, not trusting her legs to stand up. She felt unconfident about her abilities to stay here, and she felt that way about her sister's as well. "I thought...maybe a Clan would take me in. I mean... We still have a lot to learn about hunting and defending ourselves..."
Star stared at her paws, then looked up at Stream. She looked her in the eyes, then turned to Smoke, "You could come with me."
Smoke sighed, "Sorry, but, i left the clans for a reason. There were too much fights, and, i just couldn't handle it." she meowed.
Leaf padded into the enclosure and passed up Forest with no interest. She sat down in the group of she-cats and looked at them. "My family is broken." She said shakily.
Star tilted her head at Smoke, "But aren't there more than one clan? I could try a different one." She was going to keep talking when Leaf padded up to them. Her eyes widened, "What do you mean broken?"
"Rosewood is evil." She said and stared at the ground. "Pure evil. And she doesn't even love my father."
Leaf nodded sadly and curled into a ball. She poked her head out from behind her paws. "Can I stay here?" She asked.
Star frowned and stared at her paws, "I don't see why not. Weren't you going to live here with Forest before Runner took you back?"
Star shuffled her paws, in thought. The enclosure felt better with her family and friend there, but would they all really stay? Maybe she would wait before trying to find a clan. Though, if what Leaf said about Rosewood was true... Star shivered at the thought, her tail bristling. She pressed her nose into Leaf's fur, "It'll be okay Leaf."
"You really think so?" Star mewed quietly and flicked her ears. "Stream and Smoke said they found a place to stay already, unless they want to come back here." The white cat looked at her sister and Smoke curiously.
"Since Athena died..." Star mewed sadly and cast a glance at the grave. She felt the familiar chill settle in her bones again and trembled.
