Athena smiled down at Stream and nodded. "Want to come with me to the forest?" She asked.

Stream nodded, "Okay! Can Forest come too?"

Athena laughed and nodded. "All of you can." She said and walked out.

Stream padded after their mom.

((I thought it was more fun when he hated Stream because she actually had 'flaws'. Star is bigger and (no offense) smarter than Forest. Ugh. Hate Stream again! I have a plan :) ))

Athena walked back into the enclosure with the rabbit and vole. She set them down and smiled at her kits. "Eat up." She told them.

Stream nodded and started eating the vole.

Athena sighed as she watched her kits scramble about. She smiled down at Stream and took a bite from the rabbit.

Star ate a few bites of the rabbit, tasting it slowly before eating quickly to get full. She sat up and licked her lips, happily flicking her tail.

Stream finished eating, so she just sat there.

Athena smiled and licked all of their heads. "Tomorrow morning we'll go hunting again. How would you guys like that?" She asked and laid down in the sun.

Star nodded, "Okay." She stretched out and bounded through some tall grass to hunt some bugs.

Athena smiled as Star bounced away. Stream looked pretty tired.

Stream padded around the den, then looked outside to see if she could smell anything.

Stream frowned, "It was a mistake..." She said, sad that he was acting like this.

Stream fell over and hit her head, she yelped. Why is he acting like this? She got up and went to the other side of the den.

Stream looked at him sadly, she laid down and tried to ignore him.

Stream sighed, "I don't know..."

Stream blinked back her tears, "I don't know!" She said yelling but at the same time her voice quivered.

Stream started to cry, she didn't want to be like this, she just was.

Stream blocked him out of her head and tried to sleep.

Athena saw her crying and knew it was Forest. She didn't do anything about it, though. She just picked Stream up by her scruff and set her down in the nest. She glance at Star and Forest before she curled in with Stream and licked her head.

Star huffed at her brother, "What is with you?" She flicked her tail and eyed him, "One minute you hate her, then you love her, and now you're a bully again!" She bounced up and down, "Leave Stream alone!" Without another word or glance Star dashed into the nest and snuggled up to Stream and Athena.

Athena looked at Forest. He had some sort of mood change. She then smiled when Star came to rest with her and Stream. She closed her eyes and licked their heads.

Athena smiled at her kits and stood up to stretch. Then, a fox raced through the entrance and right up to the fresh kill pile. Almost instantly, Athena hissed at it and bounded towards it. She scratched a claw through its muzzle and eye and yelled back, "Forest! Protect your sisters!" And kept defending herself and her kits from the fox. The fox pounced on top of Athena.

The fox hissed back and kicked Forest hard. Athena glared at the fox and pummeled into it. It kicked her off with its hind legs and claws at her stomach. "Forest!" Athena yelled. "Go with your sisters!" She then clawed it through the face and bit it.

The fox hissed and grabbed Forest with his claws. Blood dripped down its muzzle as he shoved Forest into the ground with its claws in his stomach. Athena kicked the fox off of Forest. It ran out of the enclosure when Athena gave one last hiss. "Forest!" She yelled when she saw him laying on the ground, blood splayed everywhere.

Athena limped over to him and nodded. She winced a bit and licked Forest's face. Her leg had a huge gash in it and her side was dripping blood. "Forest, you're hurt." She said and licked his side.

Athena winced and fell to the ground. She watched Forest run off as the world started to fade. It turned black and she went limp.

Athena shifted a bit and opened her eyes warily. Forest was blurry but she knew he was there. She then fell into a dark place. Blurry figures were moving slowly through the dark camp. Then some faded away and one stood there alone. It called to her. Then Athena woke up.

"Mother!" Star yelped and dashed over to where Athena lay half unconscious. She had shoved Stream into the far back corner when the fox came and stood over her to protect her, but now the fox was gone and Athena was hurt. Forest had disappeared, but she watched him wide eyed as he stumbled back into the enclosure.

Athena lifted herself up and walked to Forest. She picked him up and slowly walked to the nest where she lay him.

Athena took one look at Star and frowned. Was she the good kit or the bad one?

Star followed them back into the den, "Is he okay? Are you okay?" Her legs trembled and she looked wide eyed at all the blood on their fur.

Athena then remembered she was the good, strong one. Her mind went blank for a second there. "The fox hurt him pretty badly." She said and licked his wounds.

"But, the fox didn't do that to him!" Star gasped at the bite wound on Forest's side. "He came back with that!" She whimpered and ran up to Forest and licked his fur.

Stream woke up from all the noises, she looked up at get family.

Athena frowned. "What happened?" She asked more seriously.

Stream padded over to them, she gasped when she saw Forest.

Athena laid down next to him and licked his wounds. "Please tell me. I won't love you any less." She whispered.

Stream gasped again, that evil cat! She thought.

((I can't think of a good enough reason in characterwise that Forest wouldn't tell his mother about the mean cat who beat him up. >_>))

Star sat protective next to Stream and leaned forward, ears perked as she wanted to know what had happened to Forest.

Athena's fur rose on end. Her heart beat faster. Her eyes held flames. She rose to her paws and a low growl erupted through her throat. "She's going to pay." Athena snarled and turned to the exit.
