Does anyone know whether it is pronounced Toe-bye-is or Tobe-ee-is? Me and my friend are having a debate!

I personally think that it is Toe-bye-is but I don't know what you guys think.

I used to say Tob-ee-is, because that's how you pronounce it here in the Netherlands, so I went with that when I first read it. Now though, I do find Toe-bye-us better. I just had to get used to it :)

In the audiobook, it is pronounced as Toe-bye-us.

Toe-bye-is haha I was just talking to my friend about it today and her mind was blown that that's how it's pronounced, but that's it :)

I always thought it was Toe-bye-us and that's how my friends say it too but I guess it depends on where you're from :)
I thought it was Tob-ee-is at first, but my friend pronounced it as Toe-bye-is. When I asked her about it, she said she didn't know why she pronounced his name like that. Personally, I like Toe-bye-is better, even though that's not how we pronounce it in the U.S
I read it To-beeee-us, but we looked it up and To-bye-us is actually correct.
I use to say To-beee-us, but then I looked on Veronica Roth's blog and she said it's Toe-bye-us :)

It is Toe-bye-us. I'm sure, I've listened in the TV series (NCIS).
Its To- bye-as. Thats how it was pronounced in the movie and it sounds more natural.

I thought it was To-bee-as when I read the first two books, but then I saw a video where Veronica Roth said his name and it's actually To-bye-as. I have said it the right way ever since then. Also, in the movie they say To-bye-as.
If Veronica Roth said it is to bye is, then I would say it that way. Movies are not always right...
Tobias is also my brother's name:) most English speakers will pronounce it as toe-bye-us. I'm danish so my brother's name is pronounced toe-bee-as. It doesn't really matter. I think it just depends on where you are from and how you choose to pronounce it:) my brother experiences people pronouncing his name in so many different ways all the time ahahahhaha when I speak danish, I prefer toe-bee-as. But when I speak English, I prefer toe-bye-us tho. Since thats also the typical pronunciation in English :)
Well I like pronouncing it toe-bee-us but the movie pronounced it to-buy-us.
yeap veronica pronounces it and has written it as to-bye-us but i always said as it to-bee-us.YOU CAN'T CHANGE ME.

Yeah, like with the Mortal Instruments, Cassandra Clare told everyone how to properlay say words like Idris, and seraph blade. Veronica must've taught them how to pronounce each of the factions and the names.
toe-bye-is i used to think toe-bee-is but toe-bee-is isn't a real name!
