Yikes, I'm flipping through my copy...I don't see any chapter numbers....

should we set up a reading schedule?? any ideas on how to break this up?

the last chapter I read started with:
"Milo drops Missy off at home first."

Eddie(view spoiler)[ my heart breaks for her (hide spoiler)]

Beth(view spoiler)[ I kind of hate her. why isn't she ALSO helping Eddie. EDDIE is a kid and her MOM isn't taking care of her. it's not EDDIE's fault she is still a kid.
ugh. If Beth was helping Eddie get around, pick up things, clean the house, shopping - all those things make sense

but to berate her and get angry - I see what Beth is trying to do, but she's not treating Eddie like a kid. She's treating her like an adult - like she's Robyn's sister and she's disappointed she hasn't been taking care of...her own mom after she lost her dad... (hide spoiler)]

That night(view spoiler)[ I'm unsure what's going on here. Her story about seeing her dad die. THAT was awful.

Milo(view spoiler)[ I like him. he's really there for her in a way that isn't intrusive. he just lets her be and takes care of her in a nonchalant way that Eddie can really handle (hide spoiler)]

Last chapter I read started with:
It's hard to sleep. It eventually happens and when I wake up again, it's late.

Beth(view spoiler)[ she just makes me more and more mad
My best friend from 8th grade - she knows more than anything, that if I lost it.....that I'd want her to FIRST, take care of my children. *I* would come after them. Why isn't she taking either of them to counseling? or being kind, quiet, letting them grieve and just...be in their space with them. she's coming in like a wrecking ball and then angry when they don't react they way she wants them to. UGH! GRRR lol Can you tell I don't like Beth :D (hide spoiler)]

Milo(view spoiler)[ Ugh, and could HE be any more confusing. he doesn't care when Eddie doesn't come around and even makes her believe he has a girlfriend

and then....he kisses her?? um, what? although I really think she should date Milo and not Culler (hide spoiler)]

Culler(view spoiler)[ I'm on the fence about this guy. I'm not sure what he knows and what he's turning in to his photography project. He makes me nervous - especially now that we know he's taken pictures of Eddie AND the nature of his own photos (hide spoiler)]

this book was heartbreaking but so worth it. I loved it

Eddie(view spoiler)[ my heart still breaks for her but I"m glad her mom pulled herself together enough to realize she needs to be present, show Eddie she's breaking so they can break and put each other back together (hide spoiler)]

Culler(view spoiler)[ I'm beyond words. His manipulation so that he could use her as a muse was AWFUL. AWFUL.
I'm glad he didn't take more advantage of her...but to just leave her out there. What was he thinking?? selfish jerk (hide spoiler)]

Milo(view spoiler)[ I was with you, completely angry that he'd tell Missy. But I"m so glad he was there for Eddie when she needed him.
and wow did she need him....stupid Culler
but I'm so glad he finally talked to her. he needed to. but I"m also glad Eddie thanked him. both things were important for them to move on (hide spoiler)]

photos(view spoiler)[ I'm kind of mad Culler sent them in the end. Jerk (hide spoiler)]

her dad(view spoiler)[ I'm so sad. so so sad that he left them with no clues and no reason not to blame themselves or fall apart. I'm so sad they just have to accept that he's gone
but I can't imagine being in a place where I'd make the decision to leave my family behind....so I don't know how hard it would be to express your need to leave and lack of want to stay without hurting those you love more (hide spoiler)]
