"Can you speak up?" The judge asked her.

"How long in your relationship did things start going bad?" She asked her
Noelle frowned as she thought for a minute, " Ummmm... maybe after 3 months." She answered
"And how did it start?" She asked.Jack started giving her angry glares
"Well um... he would get mad at me. if I didn't do something the way he wanted." she said paling when she let her eyes travel across the room to see Jack glaring at her.
Reese noticed and tried to catch her eye."Can you list in chronological order all the things he did from that point?" She asked her
Noelle took a deep breath and made herself look back at Reese instead of Jack. Even just him looking at her like that scared her to death. "H- he would yell at me, th-then he started.... hitting me." She started to say slowly and haltingly as if she were afraid he would come after her. "then I tried to tell him to stop and later he um..."
The lady waited. "It's okay. You can tell us. Every piece will help." She assured her.
Noelle looked right at her and nodded a little, "He r-raped me." She said softly
"How many times did that happen?" She asked her.Reese was trying so hard to breathe properly, and not get up to punch Jack in the face.
She frowned, "Five or six that I know of." she replied.Josh shook his head a little about to get up and give Jack a piece of his mind for messing with his little girl, but Grace just put her hand on his tense arm and he stayed next to her.
Reese looked back at her parents, a pained look on his face.The lady nodded. "Okay. Anything else you would like to add?" She asked her
Noelle shook her head.Josh glanced at Reese and Grace had tears in her eyes
He looked back at her parents, feeling so bad. They must be going through so much. "You may take a seat." She told her.
Josh frowned a little more seeing how Jack was staring at Noelle as she walked back to her seat next to Reese. Grace moved forward a little and put her hand on Noelle's shoulder
Reese took her hand. "You did well." He told her softly.
Noelle held his hand in her shaking hand
He kissed her forehead gently as they called Jack up
She put her arms around him terrified.Jack walked up there like he had all the time in the world
He held her close. "It's okay, he can't hurt you." He murmured repeatedly.
She nodded a little too scared to say anything
He rubbed her back gently as Jack spoke
She buried her face in his jacket as she listened to Jack say he wasn't the one who had hurt her or the other girl
Reese shook his head. There was no way Jack would get out of if
Noelle shivered a little as they were saying everything that they had seen on her.
He whispered nice words in her ear, trying to keep her happier.
She held onto him tightly listening to him
"I love you." He whispered at one point.
She nodded a little not saying anything right then
He kissed her forehead as Jack spoke still.
Noelle frowned as she listened to him speak. She didn't know how Reese could still say he loved her after everything that had happened to her. Now she really didn't feel like she was good enough for him and that thought just made her want to cry even more than she already wanted to
He held her close to him as Jack finished. The judge let the jury take their time deciding.
She stayed close to him as the jury left the room
He turned back so she could talk to her parents
She moved a little so she could look at her parents, "I'm sorry." She whispered to them.Josh shook his head, "You have nothing to be sorry for." He said softly touching her cheek
Josh and grace both talked quietly to Noelle. She slowly let her body relax against Reese. One of the jury members came up beside them
Reese looked over, touching Noelle's shoulder. "Someone's here for you." He said softly.
Noelle looked up a little at the other person," We would like to see some of the bruises and cuts that you say he gave you." The man said softly to her. She nodded a little
"I'll come." Reese said to her, letting her get out before him
Noelle looked at him as she got up and grabbed his hand again. The jury member nodded and led them back to a small room
Reese followed behind her, holding her hand gently
She followed the man into the room but stayed close to Reese
Reese stayed close, making sure that Jack wasn't anywhere nearby
Noelle gripped Reese's hand tightly as the door shut behind him. One of the ladies came over to her and Reese," Noelle you are just going to come with me and show me and another girl here what's left of the bruises he gave you and then you can leave. Is that Alright?" Noelle nodded a little," Y-yeah."
"Can I come?" He asked the girl. He just wanted to stay with Noelle in case she needed him
"Well that would depend on who you are." She replied looking at Reese. She could see that Noelle was more comfortable with him around and they should have known better than to send a guy out to bring her back to the room
"I'm her fiancé." He said simply, holding her hand so the girl could see the ring on her finger
She nodded," Alright but could you wait outside the door?" She asked
