"Why? Where was she bleeding?" He asked nervously.

The doctor frowned a little, "Well she was bleeding internally."
His eyes widened and he ran his hands through his hair. "Where?" He asked
"Her abdomen.' The doctor stated
The doctor shook his head a little," That was also part of the issue. While her body was trying to keep both of them alive and well... She miscarried." He said softly
Reese's eyes widened and watered. This was good and bad. She would probably be so upset...
Her parents frowned though they had been horrified to know what happened to Noelle they knew she would be crushed to find all of this out. The doctor frowned a little," I'm sorry I had to tell you all this.... She is very weak and can only have one visitor at a time... Right now you have about 10 minutes before we move her to another room... She's awake but not very alert yet."
Grace looked at Reese," You should see her first."
He looked at them. "N-no, you're her parents. It's okay, I can wait." He said to them. He wanted to see her but he wanted to do the right thing first.
Josh shook his head," I know Noelle would want to see you first.. We will see her later you go in and talk to her."
Josh nodded," Go before they have to move Her."
He nodded. "Thank you." He said, then walked in her room quietly, looking over at her
Noelle turned her eyes slowly when she heard the door open. She was hooked up to an IV and about 5 other machines. She looked tiny and pale in the bed and only her bright green eyes stood out
He walked over to her. "Noelle... Oh my god." He said softly, sitting next to her. He stroked her cheek gently. "You're okay. I love you." He said quietly.
She closed her eyes a little at his touch. Slowly she nodded," I just want to be at home." She whispered tiredly
"You might be here for a while. I have some bad news." He said softly, biting his lip a little
Noelle frowned a little," What?" She asked staring up at him with huge green eyes
"You had internal bleeding in your abdomen, and the baby didn't make it." He said, a few tears slipping out. He took her hand gently
She shook her head a little and her eyes filled with tears," Why did all of this have to happen to me?" She whispered holding onto his hand
"It's okay, you'll be okay. I love you, and it'll all be okay." He said softly.
She looked up at him," How can you know that.. Look at where I am again." She said softly as she cried
He hugged her gently. "It'll be okay, I promise. Because you have me this time." He said to her softly. He felt so awful.
She cried into his shoulder holding into him," please don't make them let you leave." She said as she cried," I want you to stay with me and hold me.@
"I don't know. I'll try." He said softly, holding her tightly in his arms, pressing his face to her hair and crying a little himself. He would try and be strong for her.
She nodded against his shoulder. She just wanted him near her that was the only time she felt safe was when she could see him and when he could touch her.
He rubbed her back gently, a couple of nurses coming in. "Please let me stay with her." He said to them pleadingly.
She clung to him not sure how she would be able to do anything if he wasn't there. The nurses frowned a little," I can only allow you to stay if you are her spouse or are related to her." One replied softly and a little sorry seeing how Noelle was holding into him
"Please. I'm practically her spouse. I want to marry her one day, I can leave her side, she needs me." He begged, not wanting to ever let her go,
She frowned a little and shook her head slowly," You have to be able to prove that you will be her spouse.. Whether that is a wedding ring or an engagement ring otherwise when visiting hours are over you will have to leave." Noelle was still sobbing into his shoulder. The other nurse there looked at all of the monitors " we need to get her to calm down or she will have to be sedated." She told the other nurse
His mind was so frazzled, and he instantly pulled the ring off his finger, the one he got from his dad a few years ago. "Noelle, I love you and I will do anything to protect you. Will you marry me?" He asked her, looking down at her.
That got her attention pretty quickly. Thinking she didn't quite hear him properly," Excuse me?" She said staring up at him wide eyed .
"I love you, forever and ever and always. Will you please marry me?" He asked again, his heart racing as he looked in her bright green eyes. His hand was shaking as he held the ring.
Too shocked for words to form in her head, Noelle mutely nodded in agreement. She was sure he had been asking her that the first time but she hadnt been sure
He smiled and slipped the ring on her finger. "You'll be okay." He whispered softly, then turned to the nurses. "Can I go with her now?" He asked them.
She nodded again still kind of shocked at what had just happened. Both nurses just stared for a second not having seen someone so set on staying with the person they came with. " you can stay with her now.@
He smiled and nodded his thanks, then looked at her. "I love you. I told you I would do anything for you." He said to her softly, kissing her lips gently.
Noelle's nodded a little," I knew you would but I didn't know you would go this far." She whispered back and closed her eyes as he kissed her
He pulled away. "It was... It was okay that I did that, right?" He asked her softly
She looked up at him and smiled a little," Yeah it is." She whispered," But don't you have to ask my daddy?@
"I'm sure he won't mind. And don't worry, I'll ask again and do it again when the time is right, with a real ring. I promise." He said to her softly.
Noelle nodded a little moving her body carefully against his," Okay... But you don't have to." She said softly looking up at him
"I want to. I want it to be perfect. And trust me, right now I'm over the moon, and my feelings are so completely true, but I want to do this right." He said to her softly and honestly
Noelle stared up at him with huge green eyes and nodded a little," Okay and I want you to know that I love you for it." She said softly
He smiled softly. "Okay. And I'm sorry if you felt pressured into this." He said to her quietly.
She sighed softly and stayed cuddled against him," No I didn't maybe a little shocked by it."
He held her close. "Okay. I'm sorry." He said softly, kissing her cheek gently.
She looked up at him and smiled faintly. She turned a little and rested her hand on his chest and her head on his shoulder
He rubbed her back gently and kissed her forehead. "It'll be okay." He murmured. The nurses asked him to get off the bed as they were moving her to another room, saying he could walk with them.
