"Well it's not the ideal way, but if it's a free trip to Europe, I guess I'll take it. But, do you mind if we maybe meet up, and I can just see the will just to make sure?" She asked shyly, biting her lip a little. She wanted to make sure he was telling the truth and wasn't some creep.He sighed softly. "Okay..." He said, dropping her hands and looking down. He just wanted to help however he could.
Quinn smiled a little at her first statement, " I don't mind.. Umm we'll have to just have a copy of that part of the will." He commented knowing he wouldn't be able to get the real thing.She put her hands in her lap and pulled her sleeves down a little more, "I'll let you know if I need help." She promised. Though she knew she was lying to herself and him. Jack would kill her if she told anyone especially if she told Reese.
"That's fine. Do you think you can get it by tomorrow? I have things I need to do now that this has come up." She said to him, thinking of telling her work that she needed to take time off, and go shopping for better clothes.He nodded and looked over at her, wrapping his arm around her. "It'll be okay, whatever it is. I promise." He said softly, kissing her temple lightly.
"Yeah I can try to." He answered knowing he now had to get quite a few things done before they were to leave in a few weeks.She winced a little as he hit a sore spot, but hide it as she leaned against him, nodding. Noelle was wishing that Jack could be more like Reese in the way he treated her.
"Okay. At the coffee shop on Main Street?" She asked him curiously, going in her room and already planning an outfit and stuff, for tomorrow and for the trip.He sighed softly and leaned against the couch. "Wanna watch a movie?" He asked quietly. He looked over at her and smiled a little, trying to forget about everything.
"Yeah that's fine around 1?" He asked starting his car up. That should give him enough time to get a copy of that part of the will from his uncle.She stayed against him, "Yeah we can." She answered softly looking up at him.
"Yep that sounds good. Well, I'll see you then? Oh, and I'll probably be the one in the denim jacket." She said to him, smiling a little to herself. She put her outfit on a chair then sat on her bed.He smiled a little and grabbed the remote, flicking on Netflix. He searched through the movies and picked out one of her favourites.
"Yeah I'll be there." He smiled a little, "Alright then I'll look for you." He said looking around as he pulled out of his parking spot.She smiled and relaxed staying tucked against her best friend as her favourite movie started up
"Okay. Bye." She said awkwardly, biting her lip. She didn't talk to people who weren't her employers often so she didn't know how to talk on a phone with usual people.He sighed softly and leaned his head on hers, stroking his fingers on her arm gently, not sure where she was bruised and where she wasn't.
"Bye." He said, before hanging up. He was a little nervous about going to see her tomorrow. He drove himself home and then texted his uncle seeing if he could get a copy of Rose's part of the will.She watched the movie quietly, letting Reese's fingers calm her nerves. This, she thought, is how hanging out with your boyfriend should be. Quickly she pushed that thought away
She couldn't believe it, and just took a minute to squeal and run around her apartment. "IM GOING TO EUROPE!!!!" She cried, not caring if anyone could hear her.((Skip?))
Reese smiled down at her. "Noelle... I-I..." He said, almost telling her he loved her. He didn't know what to say though. He knew she was with her boyfriend, and that killed him.
He grinned a little as his uncle texted him back saying it would be ready when he got there the next day. Quinn changed out of his nice clothes and into a pair of shorts and a t shirt ready to go to bed for the night.~~~~~~
The next day Quinn woke up and showered getting dressed in something nicer than what he normally wore on his one day off. He got himself some breakfast and then watched tv for a bit before heading over to his uncle's house to pick up the copy of the will.
Noelle looked up at him, "What is it?" She asked softly. She didn't know what he was feeling and all she was was confused at the way she saw guys treat her mother and then the way Reese treated her and his family
She got up the next morning, thinking everything that happened was a dream. But then she saw her outfit and grinned. She had breakfast and a shower, then she got dressed."Nothing, nothing." He said quickly, turning back to the TV and watching the movie, his heart racing quickly. He couldn't tell her, it wouldn't be fair.
He talked to his uncle for a little while. He had also printed out all of the places that he and Rose were going to be going. He grinned a little and then saw the time knowing he would have to be going soon to meet up with her."Are you sure?" She asked watching him. She didn't know if she really wanted to know, but he was with her through everything so she was going to be with him if she could
She left a bit early just so she wouldn't miss him. She went in the shop and ordered a hot chocolate, wearing her jacket like she said. She kept looking back at the door, waiting for him.He nodded, but instantly regretted it. He just wanted to tell her, but he just couldn't. He was too scared. He closed his eyes and just listened to the movie.
He walked into the little café a bit later than he wanted to, but was still on time. He had all of the papers folded up in his hand. being as tall as he was it wasn't too hard for him to look around for Rose. When he spotted her he walked over to where she was."Well Alright then." She said softly looking back at the movie. She moved her head back against his shoulder.
She saw him coming towards her, knowing immediately it was him. She smiled brightly, thinking she would be on a trip with him for who knows how long in a few weeks. She walked over to him. "Hey." She said happily.He sighed softly and tried to fall asleep, but it was harder with her right there. He just wanted to be with her forever, but she had someone else already.
He grinned a little at her as she turned to him, "Hi." He answered coming up to stand next to her. "I have a few things for you." He saidShe stayed snuggled against him until the movie ended. Though she didn't know that since she had fallen asleep against him. She moved slightly which made her shirt ride up revealing more bruises on her side and stomach
"Hi. I'm Rose by the way." She said, smiling at him. She was excited, but nervous at the same time, to see it all. She bounced on the balls of her feet and bit her lip.He wasn't sleeping and opened his eyes at the end, looking down at her sleeping body. He smiled a little, but saw her shirt riding up. He noticed her bruises and her eyes widened. They looked like handprints, and he started to get a bad idea.
"I'm Quinn." He said, grinning a little at her excitement. "Come on let's go find a table and then we can talk." He said.She sighed softly sleeping peacefully against him, not knowing what he was seeing. She slipped her small arm around him
She nodded and walked over, seeing a small table for two by the window. She sat down and smiled softly at him. "So Quinn. I guess I'm going to Europe with you." She said to him.His eyes watered as he thought of it, and gently pulled her on his lap and in his arms, burying his face in her hair and crying softly. "I'm so sorry Noelle. I love you so much." He said sadly.
He followed her to the table and sat down across from her. He smiled a little and nodded, "Yes I suppose you are." he answered.She opened her eyes a little when he moved her, but went right back to sleep. She stretched a little and started to wake a little more as he held her
"Have you always wanted to travel?" She asked him curiously. She wondered what he was like, and wondered why his grandmother set them up on a trip together.
He shrugged a little, "Yes, I have. " he answered, "Have you?" He asked wondering what his grandmother would be planning with them if she was still alive
She nodded. "Yeah. And I told her that, and she always said she wished she could help me... Now I guess she has." She said happily, smiling at him.((Sorry!))
He cried sadly, knowing exactly what happened now. He put the pieces together, and he was gonna kill him. He knew he would, right after he talked to her.
He smiled a little, "Well she certainly has." He answered, "I mean she told me the same thing a little while ago." ((You're fine))
Noelle woke fully a little later, seeing that she was now huddled up in his lap. Her eyes widened a little but she didn't move away from him
((brb I have to take a shower.))
"Maybe she did this on purpose..." She said softly. "The two of us? Maybe she saw an ambition we both had." She said to him, getting a bit red.He realized she was awake. "Why didn't you tell me? I know what happened, I figured it out." He told her sadly, wiping his eyes. He loved her so much, and he hated to see this.
He nodded a little, "Yeah maybe.... Or she was just being her normal matching self." he muttered softly before really thinking of what he had said.She frowned a little bit and pulled her shirt down, "I didn't tell you because...." She stopped for a second, "Don't say anything to Jack, please. If he knows you know it will get worse." She whispered
She laughed softly. "She did like to do that. Even with the other old people." She said to him. She wondered if that was Shelby's real intention, and wondered more about him.He looked at her. "I'm gonna kill him, so you don't have to worry. Why are you even still with him!? How long has this been going on!?" He asked her, getting angry now, not with her but with Jack.
He chuckled a little," Yeah I know she did," he answered," Why did she try to get you to go out with someone?" He asked honestly wanting to know."Reese please." She asked," I.. I just couldn't get away... And I don't know how long it's been." She said softly feeling horrible now and cringed a little when he started to get angry
She shrugged. "Why not I guess? I'm almost 18, I've been single since freshman year of high school, I guess she figured its time for me." She said to him. Neither of them really realized the fact that Shelby set them up with each other.He rubbed his forehead. "Why not? Why couldn't you get away?" He asked sadly, pressing his eyes shut and sighing quietly. "Noelle, the absolute last thing I want is for you to get hurt.
He shrugged a little," Well I guess we are both about the same except I'm a year older than you are." He said not knowing what his grandmother had planned for them during their little trip."Have you seen Jack?? It's not like I could say I'm done... And I did once and look at where that got me." She said softly pushing her sleeves up a little," Reese do you actually think I'm still with him because I love him?"
She smiled. "I guess we can see where this trip takes us." She said happily. "Do you mind if I see the paperwork?" She asked him curiously. She already felt comfortable around him. He was a lot like Shelby.He just hugged her, then looked at her arms. "I'm gonna go kill him, I promise." He said to her sadly. "I don't ever want him seeing you again." He said firmly and seriously.
He grinned a little nodding," I guess so." He answered. If she was like this all the time he was sure they would get along fine. "Oh yeah I forgot to give it to you," he said putting the folded paper on the table in front of her. She let him hug her though she had tears in her eyes not just because she was scared, but because the way he hugged her hit one of the bruises she had received that day. " he's not going to take no for an answer." She whispered," He told me that the last girlfriend he had... He..." She stopped not going to say anymore
She smiled. "Thanks." She said, unfolding it and looking at it. It was the words Shelby had put for her, and her eyes watered. She took a deep breath and closed it, smiling a little at him.He looked at her. "What? What did he say?" He asked her, realizing he was probably putting her in pain so he let her go nicely. He just took her hands gently, wanting to see all her bruises.
He smiled a little at her," You're welcome." He said softly. He watched as she read what he grandmother wrote. He had gotten a few letters from her to open in certain times of his life that she would now be missingNoelle shook her head," I can't.." She whispered afraid of what Reese would do if she told him and afraid for herself to. She sighed a little when he just went to holding her hands
She sighed softly and wiped her eyes, blushing a little. "Sorry, I'm an ugly crier." She said quietly, getting a napkin and wiping her nose gently, trying not to embarrass herself."Noelle, you know I will never ever hurt you, no matter what." He said to her, just wanting to hold her and kiss every single bruise and tear away from her.
He shook his head a little," You don't have to apologize.. Everyone has had times when they need a little moment to themselves." He knew that from having to watch his grandmother slowly get weaker and weaker every time he saw herShe nodded a little pulling on of her hands away from his to wipe her tears away," I... I know that... That's why I'm asking you not to say anything to jack."
She nodded and smiled weakly at him. "She was an amazing human being. I wish to be as kind and amazing as her one day." She said to him softly, trying not to get sad."What do you mean? I wanna kill him." He said sadly, wiping her tears for her with the pads of his thumbs. All he wanted was to protect her, for the rest of his life.
He smiled a little back at her," yeah she was, but you know what she would have told you if you were to say that to her?" He asked softly smiling a little at the memories he had of her. He could tell she was trying hard not to cry so he figured he would try to help her even though he felt the same way "I know that, but what if you get hurt? And then what he'll just keep coming back to me and it's going to get worse." She stopped for a second and looked at him," His last girlfriend's brother got in the way of what he wanted and he put them both in the hospital." She whispered shaking now at everything Jack had told her before Reese had shown up
"What?" She asked quietly, looking up at him and blinking rapidly, trying her hardest not to cry. Shelby was her favourite, and the feeling was always mutual. She missed her so so much.He blinked and sat back on the couch. "Oh dear god... We have to report him." He said to her, holding her tightly but gently now that she was shaking. "Noelle... Please listen to me right now." He murmured, deciding to tell her everything.
"My grandma would have told you to be your own person and not anything like her. She'd tell you to try and learn from her but not to be like her.. Because she figured if your always trying to be like someone you will miss out on the small things in life." He told her before going into silence and chewing on the inside of his cheek.Noelle cried softly against his neck," We can't he'll find out it was me and.... And.. And I don know what he will do." She sobbed a little then quieted some," I'm listening." She said softly trying to stop shaking and crying
Rose started crying again at his words and nodded quickly. "Y-you're right. God you're so right." She said, burying her face in her hands sadly. She didn't want him to see her crying because she looked awful when she did.He held her, stroking her hair softly. "Noelle, I have loved you for longer then I can imagine. It breaks my heart to see you like this, because you don't deserve it one bit. I would risk anything for you, do anything to protect you. I love you." He said to her quietly, and kissed her cheek gently.
Quinn looked at her as she spoke. Instead of being like a normal guy and panicking when she started crying her quietly got up and went to stand beside her chair. He gently put his hand on her shoulder," it's alright." He said softlyShe sniffles a little as she listened to him. As he talked her eyes widened slightly. She didn't say anything right away as she was kind of speechless and hiccuping from her crying. "Reese." She whispered
She got up and threw her arms around him, crying in his shoulder. She didn't know what to do, and she was just so sad. She missed Shelby so so much, and couldn't even imagine his pain.He bit his lip and blinked. "The whole time you've been with him I've been so sad, but now I couldn't be any more angry. He hurt the one person I love more then anyone." He said to her quietly. He didn't know if she would say anything else.

Quinn was slightly surprised when she suddenly threw her arms around him. Though he didn't pushed her away he just held her close to him and softly told her that it was alright. However he was having a hard time talking now too.Noelle looked at him and blinked a few times trying to calm herself down enough so she could actually talk," Why... Why have you never said anything before?" She asked

She pulled away, having stopped crying. "I'm really sorry, I don't know why I did that." She said, turning around and looking away. She felt super embarrassed now.He shrugged and looked down. "I was always scared to, and you were always with someone else." He explained quietly. He was scared to look at her right now, hoping this didn't ruin their friendship.
He let her go and shrugged a little," It's fine.." He said softly going back to sit down. Quinn actually didn't really mind holding her while she cried Noelle rested her head against his shoulder again," But we used to go out together." She said still trying to understand what he had told her
She wiped her eyes and nose again, feeling so embarrassed. "Well, I shouldn't keep you any longer." She said softly, picking up the papers and putting them in her bag."It was always as just friends. Never anything more." He said to her softly, biting his lip and looking down at her. He hoped, after this that they would still be friends at least.
Noelle shook her head a little, "It's nothing, I promise. I have it under control." She said
