It HAS been a long wait! I normally don't like books placed in this timeframe (the 20's had odd lingo I never seem to be able to read/catch correctly) but I LOOVED the first one in this series

If I remember right, this one is a HUGE book. I have the e-book (ARC) but I'm really hoping to get the hardbound copy since it's hard to read long ones on my kindle.

Fingers crossed my library comes through for me :) otherwise, I'll start on my kindle until I get it.

Through Day 6.

Evie (view spoiler)[hmmm.. I wonder with this radio show and only giving good news to everyone she does a reading for will come back on her. I just wonder if someone will have something bad happen instead of the good thing she promised and then have some fallout with the show? (hide spoiler)]

Henry (view spoiler)[interesting that he can help alter other peoples dreams but not his own. I fear for him though when it was mentioned that he is paralyzed for 5 minutes after leaving the dreamworld. I just wonder if something evil can follow him out of the dream with him and then he is vulnerable for those 5 minutes. (hide spoiler)]

Ling (view spoiler)[interesting that she can communicate with the dead in her dreams, thought it was funny when she talked with Lee Fans grandmother and told her it was a "trivial concern". Thought it was interesting how Ling and Henrys dreams cross paths. (hide spoiler)]

sleeping sickness (view spoiler)[this is so creepy. To have a nightmare that you can never escape and ultimately kills you. Some of those scenes have been chilling so far. (hide spoiler)]

Henry (view spoiler)[that was sad hearing about Louis and how his father sent Henry away. Glad he found him in the dreamworld, but does that mean that he is dead? (hide spoiler)]

Memphis (view spoiler)[I forgot about him saving his brother. I don't like this Bill and what he plans to do to force Memphis into restoring his sight. (hide spoiler)]

Evie (view spoiler)[we see he finally see Jericho again and she feels she needs to push him away. I hope she comes to her senses soon. (hide spoiler)]

Ling (view spoiler)[sad about her friend who died from the sleeping sickness. I get the feeling that she will see him in the dream world. Interesting too that she ran into another person who can dream walk. I wonder how many more people will turn up, they all seem to when she is around. Is she like a magnet for them? (hide spoiler)]

This is so good so far. I need to work a bit more on another book for now. I will pick this back up later this afternoon.

Evie (view spoiler)[the interactions between her and Sam are funny. Their fake engagement and how they keep making jibes at one another, this is fun seeing that play out. (hide spoiler)]

Sam (view spoiler)[hope he can find his mom, but I wonder about that car that was following him. He was also being watched earlier in the book when he was stealing from that man on the street. I wonder if there is a connection between his mom and him being followed. Or if he stole from the wrong person and now they are seeking revenge? (hide spoiler)]

sleeping sickness (view spoiler)[I wonder what causes this. It doesn't seem to affect one group of people. Seems all are at risk of catching this. It seems to be spreading faster. Curious to learn more about this. (hide spoiler)]

Ling (view spoiler)[so interesting how Wai-mae showed her how your can make items while dream walking. Also interesting how both Wai-mae and Louis were warning Ling and Henry about the dangers lurking in the dreamworld. Her encounter with George was sad, he looks like he is suffering. (hide spoiler)]

Jericho (view spoiler)[I am not sure how much I like him going out with Mable. He is not over Evie and I don't want him to hurt Mable, she is nice she really likes him. (hide spoiler)]

Sam (view spoiler)[the mystery around his mother thickens. Lying about her son saying he was a weakling and a disappointment to protect him. What does she know about this Department of Paranormal that she wanted to hide her son from. Also what happened to her when she ran off? (hide spoiler)]

Ling (view spoiler)[the information about the subway has to be the link to the sleeping sickness. Those workers in the beginning found the station. Maybe they awakened some spirits that want some revenge? (hide spoiler)]

Isaiah (view spoiler)[I don't like Bill taking advantage of him. Pushing him beyond his boundaries. I hope he does not have another seizure. (hide spoiler)]

Theta (view spoiler)[seems her power keeps trying to come out and she is not really sure how to control it. (hide spoiler)]

Memphis (view spoiler)[interesting how he can help people wake up from the dream sickness. But it seems that he can get trapped in there too if he's not careful. Looks like it takes a toll on his body as well. You hope word does not get out about this, it would be bad for him to be used for this. (hide spoiler)]

Henry (view spoiler)[I am so glad he was there to help Ling. It's so sad the hysteria people fall under when there is a sickness or war going on that they blame a certain group of people. (hide spoiler)]

Evie (view spoiler)[her and Sam breaking into the post office and finding all those numbers and markings on the map are interesting. That highest number they found 144, wasn't that the same number that Isaiah told Bill about? I may be remembering the number wrong, but it seems to be too coincidental not to be related. Sam (view spoiler)[these guys tailing him are scary people. They have to be connected to his mother and project Buffalo. His mom sure wanted to keep him safe and to hide his abilities. I still am enjoying his and Evies fake engagement and their bickering is so funny, but it seems that each of them are starting to really fall for one another. Interested to see what happens with them. (hide spoiler)]

Jericho (view spoiler)[I'm not so sure he and Mable are a good amtch for one another. He seems to want to get over Evie and Mable is being used for that purpose. (hide spoiler)]

Jericho (view spoiler)[oh no, I hate the idea of him being experimented on and being used for medical studies. Can he survive without this vial? He is put in a bad situation. (hide spoiler)]

Theta (view spoiler)[that scene with the book page 144 and showing a phoenix rising from the flames. Is Theta the phoenix? This number 144 keeps showing up throughout the book. There has to be a connection. (hide spoiler)]

Sam (view spoiler)[I can see why he would want to keep it a secret about being a diviner. His mom was protecting him from someone and now with his cover blown what will this mean for the men that are following him? (hide spoiler)]

Ling (view spoiler)[felt bad for her when she was telling Wai-Mae what she thinks her uncles intentions were for her when she gets to New York. Too bad that she didn't believe her. Seems that the dream walking is getting more and more dangerous for her and Henry and they seem to be getting closer to getting stuck there. (hide spoiler)]

Wai-Mae (view spoiler)[omg I did not see that coming at all. The clues were all there that she was the ghost in the white dress. I just assumed she was a dream walker like Ling and Henry that I did not connect them. The story about how she died was sad. She comes to the country with the hope of a better life only to be betrayed and then essentially gets buried alive. (hide spoiler)]

This was so much fun to read. I really enjoyed this one. I did not like it as much as the first book, but it's very close. I can't wait to see what you think Trisha.

But, in the end, she was being selfish, keeping her dreams going by killing others.
