The Pledge (The Pledge, #1) by Kimberly Derting Kimberly Derting
How would you feel if in your own community you were divided by language. That each social class had its own language and that it was illegal (punishable by death)to speak any language that wasn't you're own?

Jean R | 6 comments I would be devastated, I for one need to be able to communicate with everyone, I would be dead five seconds into the book, because I would be able to speak more than one language at once.for me communication is a must have ability and if I could not do it just because of some laws of a dystopian society then I would gladly become a rebel, or die just to prove a point.this novel is an exemplary example of freedom of speech and how the government sometimes what's us to remain quiet so that we are more manageable upon their standards. But when we are able to communicate freely, we prove harder to manipulate. This has been a slap in THA face by JEANRAY!!!!!! Ya dig
