Which LIST book did you just start?

Judith - Did you like it? I have that book, and keep putting it on my monthly to read list, but other things keep coming up."
Do you mean "Captian Corelli..." or "Grapes of Wrath"?
I realized after re-reading your comment that I was not sure. I loved Corelli. Grapes, not so much.

I just started "Go Down, Moses" by William Faulkner."
I've loved everything I've ever read by Faulkner, and I've read the majority of his novels. I hope you like him too.

Perhaps, but the whole book has an eery feeling to it, as such a story needs to be fully engaging. I loved it!

Charity - I really enjoyed Sons and Lovers; and I look forward to hearing what you think about it. This novel got me interested in DH Lawrence, so I read immediately afterward and was disappointed. Women in Love has been sitting on my bookshelf now for a few years, I have been wanting to read it but have somehow managed not to.

Breakfast of Champions was the first Vonnegut novel I read and it made me fall in love with him! I went on to devour many more Vonnegut novels after that...

Am I the only one who can't read one book at a time??

Finished this and am starting Suite Francaise.

I started on this a couple of years ago, but I just couldn't finish it. However, I still think about it from time to time, and I have considered to give it a try again some day. I would like to know what you think about it!

What is actually the book for April; I'm confused.

The Rainbow by D.H. Lawrence. We start the discussion tomorrow.
magic mountain by thomas mann...i have a feeling i'll be reading it for quite some time...

Am I the only one who can't read one book at a time??"
You are not alone! I prefer to read 3 books at a time, it's is usually 2-3...

Josefine - the 'Victorians!' group is starting a group read of Dorian Gray May 1st if you want to join in :)

Mike - I really enjoyed East of Eden. I hope you do too!

I'm starting this in the next couple of days, and dreading it as I can't imagine it will be my thing, however I'm all for pushing yself outside of my comfort spot, (I can always give up after 50 pages if I hate it).
