message 6266: by Ann (new)

Ann | 1 comments I am about 300 pages into Les Misérables. It is wonderfully written, but I am struggling a bit with the extended Waterloo battle scenes. Looking forward to the next 900 pages and getting through the next few pages to learn more about Cosette.

I agree with Lisa, I thought that would make me hate it but funnily enough the opposite happened - I liked it!

Currently reading Brideshead Revisited by Evelyn Waugh. Not happy about the edition quality, but the writing itself is good.
