Argoro walked into the forest, eyes closed and hands in his pockets, he stopped by a tree and sat against it in the shade to relax
(I hope you don't mind me using 1st person)I walked through the woods, savoring the peace. It was rare that I got any. Since coming to Silver Thorn Academy I'd had more. I saw a guy sitting in the shade of a tree and wondered whether or not I should say anything to him, or just continue on my way.
((I do since you are not the character and it can confuse others, sorry had a girl do that and it was irritating to try and differentiate between her and her charrie))
(Alright. Just letting you know there'll probably be slip ups. I've never RPed in 3rd person before, so it'll be really difficult for me.)
((Just remember that you are Josh and the charrie is fantasy))
(Yeah, I know that. I'm a writer... I can tell the difference between characters and myself. Not a method writer haha.)
Argoro looked up when he felt the presence of someone near him, he saw the guy and stared for a minute. He realized that staring might be rude so he slightly smiled and waved.
Lee waved back, trying to make out his features in the shade of the tree. "Hey, I'm Lee.."
Argoro continued his slight smile and with his right hand he tipped his hat in a formal greeting, "Hello, my names Argoro" he said, as he put his hat back on.
"That's an interesting name." he said, tipping his own.
He laughed a bit, "Well its very exotic don't you think?" he said, as he continued to laughed and stood up, now leaning against the tree.
((hmmmm i guess he's gone.....what to do what to do))
River was walking through the trees, using her expanded senses to explore around her. She was trying to get control over them to the point where she could turn them on or off at will. It was hard, but she was determined. After she mastered that, she planned to move on to controlling her shift as well.Suddenly she froze. She could sense to people up ahead of her, They were still a ways away, but she could tell that they were talking. She stood still for a moment, deciding whether to continue in that direction or not.
Argoro's slight smile slowly faded away and he scratched the back of his head as he adjusted his hat. "Look, it's nice to meet you and all that but im kinda in the middle of something" he said as he stood up straight, "i've gotta go, peace" he continued.He turned and walked straight into the forest, not waiting for his new friends response. He put his hands in his pocket and looked around as he walked, whistling as he did it.
"Well feel like doing much of anything?" he asked as he slowed down and looked around.
River shrank behind a tree. One of them was coming in her direction. She wasn't sure what to do. She wasn't very good at socializing. She had always been cautious about being around people, because her emotions caused her to shift, and she hadn't learned to control it yet.So she stood still and waited.
((Well glad to see you post Kyren, isn't this your werecat?))"I meant like make our own lake?" he asked with a smile though he felt like there was someone else there.
((I just checked so wanted to Rp then?))
((Sure. Yes, this is my werecat. I'm going to have to get off right now though.))River heard them talking and decided to see who they were. It's not like I have to talk to them. she thought, and crept in the direction of the voices. She paused behind a tree when she got close and just watched. There was a girl and a boy, and they were the ones talking. Something about making a lake...
Borseas loved his talent for sensing presence as he looked dead at River with a look that said 'I know your hiding'. He made sure only River saw the look as she seemed shy and didn't want to speak to them.
The boy looked directly at her, and she knew he could see her. She thought about turning away and leaving, but she was growing tired of all the hiding she did. It was exhausting, and she thought it might be nice to actually have a real conversation for once. So she stepped out from behind the trees and gave a tentative smile. "Hi," she said, "I'm River." She felt the cat in her stirring at her apprehension, but it seemed to be under control for the moment.
"Boreas and Felicity Dark" he said with a gesture to himself then the girl with him. "Nice to meet you river" he said with a goofy smile.
((sorry, i didnt notice people were commenting here again))Argoro continued his walk, whistling aloud to himself, then he stopped when he saw a small group of people ahead through the tree's.
"Nice to meet you." she said warily, but smiled inwardly at his funny smile. He seemed nice. Suddenly she felt another person in the trees not far off. She turned in that direction, looking for him. She could tell it was a boy because of her senses.
he began to walk away, but froze again when he locked eyes with one of the girls in the small group. he figured he should at least be nice so he pulled his right hand out of his pocket and waved to her, with a slight friendly smile
"No need to be wary River, no enemies here" he said with a wave to the other boy.
he continued his wave, but this time to the other two strangers As he waved he wondered if he should go over there or not
River returned the wave tentatively, and gave a smile. She began to relax slightly, and said, "I know there aren't any enemies, I'm just not used to talking to people."
he decided to go over them, thinking to himself that it could be a fun experience. "hello fellow students, nice weather we're having" he said in an effort to break the ice.
River nodded, and said, "Hello, I'm River." she felt the creature inside her stir at her nervousness, but she pushed it down. She could do this.
"my name is Argoro" he said, he put his hand on his head and tipped his hat to her. his usual greeting.
When he tipped his hat to her and she smiled at his old-fashioned way. "That's and interesting name," she said, "It's cool." This wasn't as bad as she thought it was going to be.
he smiled at her compliment, "thank you" he said, "your names cool too, pretty and oddly relaxing too" he finished then looked them all over for a second
"Thanks," she said, feeling a rush of happiness inside of her. She glanced at the others, realizing how nice it was to talk to other people.
"i've never seen you guys around here before, are you all new students?" he asked
@ Apex"No, I've been here for about three years." she said, "I don't know about the others. I just met them." She wasn't surprised that he'd never seen her around, as she tried to avoid people as much as possible.
@Kyren"really? that's cool. i've only been here for two years" he said and scratched the back of his head and had the other hand on his hip.
"I am new but Felicity has been here 2 years I believe" he said with a look at Agro which seemed a little cold as he was an ice elemental.
((Guess we wait for Kyren and Apex then?))
he looked to the other guy, "is something wrong?" he asked him, noticing the look he giving him and he gave one right back
"Oh nothing" he said looking at him like he was interrupting something.
"alright, cool" he said and paused for a second, "well my names Argoro, its nice to make both of your acquaintances" he said with his usual greeting of tipping his hat to the other two
"Boreas" he said tipping his own trilby. He looked back to River with a grin.
((Sorry for the delay.))River smiled back, although she could feel the tension rising. It wasn't a good thing, as her cat senses just enhanced it. She was maintaining control so far, though, so she decided it was okay to stay.
"Well, it's really nice to meet you all." she said, trying to diffuse the tension a little.
Argoro looked to River then back to Boreas, "so Boreas" he said with a pause to see if he got his attention, "is she always this quiet?" he continued, pointing a finger at Felicity
((FIne))"No but she does prefer to stay to herself" he said to Argo. "And quite a pleasure to meet you as well River" he said with a wink.
