Chuck | 2 comments I remember reading a book that I *believe* was published in the late-'90s, maybe early-'00s: The thrust of it was that the Democratic Party had largely abandoned it's 1930s-1980s New Deal economic platform (social safety nets, strong regulations, unions, graduated income tax, etc) in favor of civil rights/identity politics, which was resulting in no progressive economic polices being enacted (or fought for) at all.

Can anyone name the title of this book? I feel like it would be particularly salient nowadays.

Jimmy It kind of makes sense, but I don't know the book.
