Good so far. Appreciate the synopsis you offer here; that's definitely the way to get people interested. I amended the subject line, that's all that was needed.
Now...Price? Links to book page on Goodreads? Link to book on Amazon?

p.s. you could also have let me know beforehand and I would have gladly have announced this to people's inboxes, the day of the release. See, you're a member of this group *and* an author, and I like to highlight such events. I think its good for the genre.
We can still do it. Send me the info, and I will follow-up this weekend. Congratulations on the accomplishment...

Thanks for all your hard work :)
Naturally you should alert me, yes. This group has something like 1500 members. In return for our author-members *not* plastering indiscriminate spam all over our message board, I willingly notify our group of any actual, valid author-event like a new book release.
It's non-intrusive that way, and readers genuinely welcome such news. Lots of readers seek the latest, newest books from Goodreads and so this is what I think a moderator should do.
So, yes, (if it isn't clear to anyone reading this) inform me anytime you're getting ready to publish.
This is information people really want and need. Whereas, they usually *don't* want to hear endless spiel about discounts and previews, deals, etc.

But I do have a new psychological thriller out. It's called As Night Falls, and the flap copy reads like this:
Sandy Tremont has always tried to give her family everything. But as the sky darkens over the Adirondack mountains and the threat of a heavy snowfall looms, an escaped murderer named Nick Burgess has the power to take it all away.
Gazing outside at the shadowy woods, Sandy prepares dinner while upstairs, fifteen-year-old Ivy, smart, brave, and with every reason to be angry tonight, keeps her distance. Sandy's husband Ben, a wilderness guide, arrives home late to a mood already simmering with unease.
Nearby, two desperate men on the run make their way through the fading light, the ground in their wake red with blood they’ve shed—there can be no loose ends or witnesses. Almost twenty years as prison cellmates have forged a deadly team: Harlan is the muscle and Nick, the mind and the will. As they approach a secluded house and look through its windows to see a couple eating dinner, Nick knows that here he will find what he’s looking for…before he disappears forever.
When he opens the door to the Tremont home, Nick comes armed with a legacy of terror, and a secret that threatens to drag Sandy with him into the darkness.
Understood.
So, just as a refresher, here's how it all works
When an author joins this group, they should say 'hello' to me here, so I know who they are and I add them to our roster
https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
Just by doing that much, they are getting more exposure than found in any other group on Goodreads.
Then, for their typical, low-level promo-posting (their giveaways and previews, reviews, freebies) they should read these guidelines
https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
If they promote themselves responsibly, (as this thread describes how to do) they can generally fly-on-their-own without my intervention at all.
But then, should they have a new book about to be published, they should read this thread to learn what to do: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
...because there's certain ways I can boost for them in that case, in return for their good behavior within the group. The benefits to the rest of our members is clear because we all get to have a quiet, easygoing environment. At the same time, we all keep abreast of hot new releases, too.
So that's the arrangement. That's as easy as I know how to make it!

That's for sure. Someone said to me recently, Anyone who writes is a hero.
I'll check yours out, J.R.

When a young girl is found murdered in a Pennsylvania rye field in 1897, Ned Gebhardt, a feeble-minded youth known to have stalked the victim, is a prime suspect. Incidents involving another girl and gossip stir emotions to a frenzy, nearly leading to a lynching.
Evidence against Ned is circumstantial and there are other suspects. Influenced by Ned’s stepsister and Ellen, a woman who has perked his interest, Simon Roth, the investigator, is inclined to give Ned the benefit of doubt. Then he discovers damaging new evidence.
Still unwilling to view Ned as a cold-blooded killer, Roth puts his job and reputation in jeopardy as he seeks to assure a fair trial for the accused.
