I wasn't that bothered about re-reading Gardens of the Moon when the group read was happening but I'd be keen to get involved in a buddy read of this if others want to do that. Thanks for setting up the thread Chris!
Great! I won't leave you hanging. I'd like to finish my audio of Oliver Twist, but however I'll do that I'll join in discussion. Tor.com has some great chapter summaries on each book. I'll provide that link when I'm on a computer that doesn't block it. Heh
I'm bailing here. Falling further and further behind on everything so I'm dumping the 1000 page tome I've already read. And this narrator moves about as fast as a loan underwriter. 5 hours in and barely 3 chapters finished. The purge begins here.
I'll just go to tor.com and read the chapter summaries.

I haven't even started yet!!
I'm so freaking behind! I feel guilty when I think about starting it when I have SO MANY monthly reads unread...

Don't feel bad, MrsJ. The only group reads I'm caught up on are those I read years ago.I'll still discuss DHG with y'all that read it. I just need a refresher from tor.com, not a full on re-read. I just thought I'd try the audio since I stumbled on it.

There are sometimes speed options on the player, but they aren't the same. The app speeds it up but doesn't change the sound quality (it doesn't sound like a chipmunk is reading it, I mean).
If you use Windows Media Player, there's a playback speed option, but it's hit and miss with how it sounds.

:)

I wasn't planning to re-read this, but I did find an audio version. I can slip that in when I'm driving or doing workish stuff.
I'm not ready to start just yet, but I thought some of you might be. So have at it.
