I'm an hour away from there, so we go to the outer rim a lot for things, and sometimes the heart. I love going to Duluth because its the Korean district of Atlanta <3

It’s really freeing ngl to not be living underneath your parent’s roof. I’m going into my third year ☺️

ooh Anahi that's so cool!

My get up and go got up and went...
I'm working on getting it back.
How about you?

Lol I have no idea how that popped into your head. I’m just glad it did :)

That sounds awesome!
I wish my library still had older fiction, but the new head librarian (she's been around now for a few years, but she's still the 'new' librarian in my head) has been weeding anything that wasn't checked out in over a year out of the shelves, so most of the classics got chucked - much to the despair of quite a few of the other librarians and patrons, including myself. Just because they hadn't gotten checked out didn't mean they didn't get read... I'm still sad they got rid of the entire Wizard of Oz series, other than the actual Wizard of Oz. {mopes mournfully} They were all hardcovers, too... It's really hard to find those suckers anymore.
{grins crookedly and shrugs}

That’s so sad! My library isn’t that great either. It’s just about impossible to find ya or fantasy that’s not some sappy boy meets girl plot line.

{winces with a chuckle}
{lets out a growled groan}
Agreed...
I've lost track of how many books I've picked out because the cover and/or the title looked interesting, only to promptly put it right back because the summary or the front cover was blaring about 'forbidden romance', 'love triangle', or some other similar theme. {drags hands down cheeks with an exasperated noise} Tsch. There are a few kind of amazing times when the author can perfectly (more or less) balance plot with romance, and that can work too - Poison, Seven Realms, and Monsters of Verity are a few that come to mind - and that's cool. I can live with

Exactly! I think Brandon Sanderson is pretty good at keeping romance to the side lines. I can’t ever remember a time where there was an actual love triangle in any of his books that I’ve read. Speaking of him, I just found out that there are more Mistborn books! I mean, they’re set in the future, but I still want to read them.

Orson Scott Card has a good series that I like: Pathfinder. Very minimal romance and such. The way time travel is explored can kind of mess with your mind a little, but I think it's in a good way. You just shouldn't read it if you're having trouble focusing, or you'll end up reading the same page like five times to get what's going on.

anahiii❤
Eat some fruit ice Ella?? 👀
