Thank you all. My little sister hasn't been feeling well the last couple of days and the Out of Hours GP's suggested diagnosis has got us rather worried. Wish I was there, not that I could do anything but seem rather far away. She seems to have been a little better today but there's not a lot that can be done til Monday :( I have been feeling a bit better today though, trying to be a bit more positive.
Big hugs to Tamara and Jodi! Whatever it is, I hope it improves soon and life gets it's sparkle back.
I do feel better, though bacon in my eggs might be partly responsible. Thanks! But I haven't written yet, and that's the proof.
I'm not going to need cuddles as this Christmas will be miles better than last.Today last year we buried my sister in law.
On that day, my best friend's 20 year old daughter was showing everyone her bruises. That was diagnosed as leukemia, so she didn't see her home until after Easter this year. She's in full remission now, thankfully, but it was tough.
So this holiday season is going to be much much better, but thanks for the offer.

So glad things are looking better
Still not getting through to Fussy Librarian, so I gave up.This self-publishing business is like trying to nail Jello to the wall.
And there has been NO shopping yet - can we all just stop time for a bit while I catch up? Thirty years would do nicely.
A cuddle would do nicely after seeing step-mum at end of life. She and my dad were very happy for the last three years of his life.

Cuddle for you Elizabeth, could do with one myself after learning that one of our closest friends passed this morning.
Hugs from me too. I think people do tend to die at this time of year. I was at a funeral this morning.
Thanks Mary, you are right about the timing, 11 years ago today my Auntie died, she left a high hole in my life as she was more like a Mum to me. So this date is not a good one for meHope things are going well with you.
Yeh, one of McOther's brothers died on 4th December and my mate Duncan had a heart attack on the same day, he had brain damage and died just over a year later in early Jan. The other time people die in droves seems to be end of April/Early May.
One of my Sisters died on Christmas Day 2000 and a Sister-in-Law died on Christmas Day 2014. One week after the SiL died a Brother-in-Law died and a further week later - another BiL died - so 2015 really wasn't a good one for my family.
Goodness Flo, a lot of people passing around Christmas. On the 22nd it will be a year since that young friend of our died, her daughter, who is a teenagers, seems to be doing ok, as another friend said she never knew life without her Mum being ill so is used to doing things with other members of the family, she was only 6 months old when her Mum was diagnosed with a brain tumour.
Aww, such a sad time for people. It's not much better for pets, lost a lot of those in December too, or had poorly pets over Christmas
Both my mother and father died in December in the weeks before Christmas. My mother when I was 18, my father 3 years ago.
Sorry to hear that David, it's hard enough at any time but worse around Christmas. Poorly pets are like poorly children, shouldn't be allowed to happen at Christmas! I've spent many a Christmas Eve staying awake all night to nurse ill dogs, still they are worth it.
Could I have a cuddle please, still finding it hard to believe that we have lost one of our closest and oldest friends, feeling a bit low tonight :(
((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((Anita)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))So sorry for your loss, hope you feel better soon.
