It'll be worth it

Welcome to my world, Elle. Hope you're feeling better soon.
*Hug* from here. No pillows handy, sorry.

Desley I guess it's not straight forward with cats as they go out on their own so it's not always possible to be with them. Nice that you are with them if yo..."
I actually meant I'd left home to live somewhere else. I'd been gone three years I think, but I still would have liked to have gone back to say goodbye.

Lots of hugs here Desley, one from me, one from Colin and one each from the kitties.

Thanks everyone, I had a lovely meal, someone pinched our table though. My granddads death was unexpected, he had a heart attack. My nan died 3 years later to the day, in the same room at home, but lunch time rather than tea time. As my nan had dementia, I wish she hadn't had 3 years, it was awful watching her get worse, we don't know if my granddad was covering for her, or his death tipped her over.

I'm glad you had a nice meal.

Hoping all your memories made you happy - I still miss mine, and it's been far longer.

I do hope one day you find something happy to share with us."
At least I can count on you lot to make me smile!

The sale of MIL's house has sadly fallen through, so many properties available now in the area due to the closure of the steelworks :@(

*cuddles for everyone*

for Jud and you too Sarah. I'm sorry the sale fell through, fingers crossed that another buyer will appear very soon.
Could I have a cuddle too please, it's been a very long, very busy day and I have overdone it as always so a cuddle would be very nice if you don't mind.

Have an extra large one Anita x

My Dad has dementia, no short term memory and now my Mum who looks after him, is also having memory lapses and the odd mood swing that looks worryingly like Alzeheimers. Oh joy.
Going to see them this weekend. Knackered now and going to bed to get lots of sleep - looking after Mum and Dad is hard work, I really have no idea how anyone can cook that many meals from scratch in a day and all the cakes and stuff to boot. :-)
Night night all.
Cheers
MTM

Seconded, with big hugs. I had to look after my mum after dad passed away and she was slowly succombing to dementia. I miss her terribly but I count it as a blessing that she was still "with us" when she did pass away in hospital.

I'm glad she was still with you at the end, sadly my nan wasn't for the last month, she had lost the ability to speak. At least she died at home
