Sorry to hear that, Geoff. It's always a shock when friends go without warning, but at that age it's simply unfair. We lost a friend to an aneurysm last Christmas. Friends and relations have rallied around the family, of course, but I suspect the only thing that gave them any comfort was that so many of her organs were able to be taken as transplants to change the lives of recipients.

So sorry to hear that Geoff, it's such a shock when you hear such tragic news. Have an extra (((HUG))) thank you for hugs you sent my way, it does mean a lot.
I've written to his widow offering my help. She is Dutch, I think, so may not have much help over here. The next few years are going to be a nightmare for her, trying to deal with the direct fallout, let alone the emotional roller coaster she will be on.
Just awful.
I spoke to a friend last night who has just lost her husband. He had been ill but she didn't expect him to die. The shock and loss is terrible in sudden death.
That was so kind of you Geoff, it does make a difference just knowing that there is someone on hand if she should need any help. Sorry for your friends looks too Lynne, what an awful shock it must be. Sending you a hug (((HUG))) too

So, I've got a friend who messaged me earlier. They're 12 weeks into their second pregnancy. First one didn't go so well.Let's send lots of good thoughts that I can send gro bags soon. ;)

Fingers crossed
Help ...! Sincerely! I seem to have lost my mojo. I put fingers to keyboard tonight, the story arc clear in my head, but whatever l write looks like a 5 year-old wrote it!!I am tired, so that might be a hindrance, and it's definately not writer's block (I get that a lot and have learned to work through it), but no matter what I write, it sucks. Not looking for sympathy or advice, I just need a cwtsh.
Yours,
Frustrated with fantasy.
Thanks all. The hugs help. I've decided to accept that tonight is not my night. There is always tomorrow! Just needed a hug and now I feel better!

Editing requires all your mojo! I'll settle for the hug, G.L, much appreciated.

The problem is that writing and editing require two different brain functions. Hence the difficulty.
Man hug sent.
((((HUGS)))) Gaff, hope you find your mojo today, if you do then could you ask it if it knows where mine is please, maybe mine is with my marbles too Patti, it's been so long since I have seen it, might be nice if it popped in to say hi once in a while.
Patti (baconater) wrote: "I think my mojo is with my marbles."Mine too!!!
Big hug to you Gaff (((0)))
Cheers Geoff, I agree completely, I just don't think my selector switch was working properly last night!Yep, I'll take a giant mojito!
Just remember that some days you're the statue, some days you're the pigeon. If it doesn't work for you one day, it will another.

I need a cuddle, it is the anniversary of my son Calum's death in 1985 when he was 17, it doesn't get easier as the years roll on .I wonder if the bus driver that killed him ever thinks of that day.I miss Calum every day .
How awful Kay, of course you will miss him every day, every minute. Have another (((( HUG)))) from another Mum.
Not a Mum or a Dad, but I cannot imagine what that loss must have been like (and still is). Massive hugs from me Kay, my lovely ((((0))))
I don't have kids of my own, Kay, but I see 150 a day whose lives I care about. I could imagine how I'd feel if something happened to any of them. ((((((BIG HUGS))))))
This forum is the best ever ,thanks for all your cuddles have cheered me up and realised that people do care ,on behave of myself and Calum as am sure he is watching over me ,thank you all xx
Big hugs Kay ((o)) there is a whole group of us thinking of you and Calum whether the bus driver does or not.Have another big cuddle ((o))
