My book Origins of the Outbreak is written with the busy reader in mind! The first few days of a zombie outbreak is told from the veiwpoint of several different people as a collection of short stories that build upon one another and are in sequential order, so the entire story is told, it's just broken up into manageable "chunks" that can easily be digested in 5-10 pages at a time.
