Enjoying this, I have it on audio and finding it quite beautiful to listen to, so far beyond the normal context of most books, yet with the same human drama tension of a contemporary novel.
Just finished this gorgeously written book. Although I felt it was a little slow to start, it became really engaging in the last 2/3rds.

I finished. It was ok. I agree that the end got better but still a bit slow going overall.

Finished! I liked this book a lot. It certainly held my interest even though it seemed (at times) a bit of a sociology report. I didn't see (view spoiler) coming. That caught me off-guard.
Well written throughout, I was left wondering when the real climax was going to hit... And then it did. The conflict could have been stretched over a few more chapters but then again, the speed in which it hit added some extra "oomph."
