I have a problem with the charcters in this series. Too many unrealistic moments. Ive read the 2nd book and it didn't change my opinion, but I've had a break so maybe book 3 will hook me. Its been known to happen:0)
I liked the characters alright and was rooting for Nick & Sam. However, you're right, Lauren; I was occasionally pulled out of the story by saying to myself, "Nah." I actually liked the first one better than the second...is that the consensus? Not excellently, but nicely narrated. I love "buddy reads," and I bought all the audios on sale, LOL! so I guess I'll continue the series.

I've decided not to get my hopes up too high for #3 that way I won't be disappointed and may even enjoy it more :0)

I'll just spend my credit on Over the Edge (Troubleshooters, #3) by Suzanne Brockmann. I know I enjoy this one. Plus I want to try Targeted (Deadly Ops, #1) by Katie Reus and Midnight Rescue (Killer Instincts, #1) by Elle Kennedy"
Party Brother is in book 2! Surprising gesture of trust too, by Nick! However, I think he'll wind up drug into book 3 too. I wish my copy was lendable!
I'm interested in those last two too!
