Ehhh... I don't think there creation should be tied together.A young teenage hero gathers the team when a super villain or criminal league is doing something big and the young hero knows about it and that's why he finds young metahumans?
They all come together when an evil force locates them and takes them away then they help each other break out together. Then they face the Big super villain and defeat him or her.
