Frederick Clever twists, but not well researched. Were a person to desert the Navy he would not be tried by a judge, he'd go before a military court. How can Emma even slightly doubt she's chasing her step brother?
But Sir Jeffrey wins, on to Best Kept Secret.

Gordon Paisley referred to Burgundy as Merlot (it is almost always Pinot Noir).
some other research errors also, but compelling story.

Beverly J. Harvey I still like the series. I try not to get bogged down in the weeds.

Pamela Mclaren I agree, Beverly. Frankly, I was so focused on the main story line, I didn't notice the item about the Navy. I think the main thing that was interesting is this is a series that pretty much has to be read in order. I started by purchasing the third in the series and quickly realized that I couldn't get into the story without the first and second books. I don't have that problem with other series that I've read.
