SOLVED. Oddly well written novel about a British medium [s]

Can't for the life of me remember the title but it's a fictional story about a British medium who performs shows but is increasingly beleaguered by spirits of men involved an a murder that she witnessed as a child and who hung around her house/mother back then.

She meets a lady who becomes her friend/confidante and accountant and they cohabit for some time until the spirits become unbearable for the friend.

Quite creepy but compelling. Can anyone remember the title/author? I think if was written in the last 10 years.
