Does anyone else obsessively check the task board for new tasks?

I'm going away for the weekend and will be without the internet so I don't have to obsess this time.

No! I'm constantly checking the Tasks because what I think I want to read gets slotted to a different task than I originally picked for that particular book or author.
I have double and sometimes tripled booked myself. I forgotten I put a book in a task and put it in another and then realized I am using the same book for two different tasks.
I'm pretty obsessive about it.... Figure that getting things sorted and settled a bit at a time is preferable to being slammed all at once! Looks like a LOT of books are going to be lined up for the summer read!
I started obsessively checking the completed tasks thread as well to see how many 25 point tasks we are going to have this summer - can't wait! Then it will be on to obsessively checking for 20 point tasks. They always seem agonizingly slow to go up. At least this thread is here to help me blow off some excitement steam in the meantime :D
Anybody remember the commercial of the lady tapping the window, chanting "open, open, open?" That's me....
We're in the process of buying and selling houses right now so I've been so busy (and otherwise obsessing over other things) that when the Summer Tasks first were posted last month, it was almost like an early Christmas! Such a lovely surprise! But, alas, now I'm back to coming on the board a few times a day checking for more level 20 tasks...

Yes, there's only a few 20's left, and then all the present unwrapping will be over for another season. It'd be almost sad if I weren't so impatient.
I hate wait! lol
Just one more 20 point task and then the unwrapping is all over for another three months! I'm very happy with the tasks this time -- seems like I was able to put a lot of books that I really wanted to read on my list this go around. I just hope I can get them all READ!

Yes, the first thing I did ... even before I loaded the actual tasks ... was put all the books my F2F book clubs are reading over the summer into my spreadsheet. Then as tasks were announced I tried first to fit one of those must-reads into the task. I managed to get them all in! (Of course, putting them in the spreadsheet and reading them are two different things ....)
Yes, and now I also check the READERBOARD obsessively as well to see how many task writers there will be.
I dreamed last night that all the tasks were posted and several had a LOT of posts. I got up excited...until I noticed that we are still waiting for the last 4. It was only a dream.
I'm always a little sad after the last task is posted. The treasure hunt is SO much fun! But it's over for another cycle. Now just the reading and the posting and the reading and the posting and the eternal effort of keeping off the wall of shame!
