I think it was a little rash. And Foxpaw was never officially reassigned to a new mentor yet so if he wanted to he could stay with Riverwhisp. The reassigning ceremony wasn't finished because they both ran off into the forest.

However, I do think it is still weird that Riverwhisp has those levels of feelings for Foxpaw.

When TC cat creation opens back up, we can try and get a young tom cat around Riverwhisp's age. Although there is Flameclaw. I think they're close enough in age?
