Sönïa Dhillion I loved this book yes it was a bit slow because it was about a whole life span but it was still magical it left me feeling content and sad . Coming back to my question I don't want a repeat of the story but we need Beth pov because some bits U were left guessing and now the question we found out in the end that Beth time travel how did her dad time travel as well in a helicopter? And why did he felt them both there how could premature Sheila survive time travel ?

Mollie I could tell when she was scared, lonely, and when she fell in love with him and that's really all that mattered to me, but it would be fun to read a novella with her pov too.
Those are some of the questions I have too. I think the answers might be way over my head though. I'm guessing it was years before her dad was able to travel to get to her. Did it look like a helicopter? Idk. I am very curious about Sheila though.
I think it's great as a standalone, but a novella would be fun and welcomed.

Mollie I assumed they traveled back in time to the same spot they were in.

That's what they did. And when you get to the epilogue, how Beh ends up there, that explains how her father got there & knew where to go. He was workin on that stuff so he obviously figured out where to go & find her. I figured that out in the middle of the story when he first came where she was, but what happened in the epilogue, just confirmed it for me.

I think this book was perfect the way it was and as a standalone.

Yes, I agree with you. It was pretty perfect. And I've never read anything like it before.

Adriana Fuentes I thought it was a helicopter too, until I read the Epilogue. I think they should give us a list of the things Edh saw and tell us what it really was. That's all I need.

Rhea Wait so there was no helicopter? I thought it was a helicopter too.

Sönïa Dhillion Well the description was of a helicopter, i mean it could be a time machine but i find that too cheesey for my taste i would rather prefer a helicopter.

Adriana Fuentes Well it can't be a helicopter right? I mean why would he time travel in a helicopter? isn't to big?

Sönïa Dhillion Well then we're going down the clique road of dr who lol i don't care what he came in i am wondering how the girl lasted the time travel n the medicine the father gave to his daughter how did that last if u think realistically there are tons of blanks .

Adriana Fuentes When Beh time travelled it was instantly. The Doc just took more time to time travel back because he needed to find out how to time travel back to the future. Which I’m guessing was due to the device he had on his hand, triangle thing Edh said he had.

Patti Kallhoff LOVED this book but have SO many questions!!!
- I can understand that Beh wanted birth control when she was already nursing two babies but why did it work for 10-12 years?
- Did Beh's father force her to take the birth control or did she want it?
- If she wanted it, was she unhappy about the last two children?
- When Ehd finds Beh, he believes her to be about the same age he is. Since Beh was still in high school, I would assume her to be about 17. Ehd had been on his own for seven years at that point, so Ehd was alone from the age of 10-17?
- Why did she decide to never have any more children after looking at the 'column' thing? Why was she crying but determined?
- What was the column?
- What was the flat black thing with pictures? If it was supoosed to be an iPad, the battery life was much longer than mine is.
- Why didn't Lay age while she was gone? If Beh's Dad only took her for a few days or week's why didn't he return her that soon?
- Why was the piece from Beh's jeans found at the cave? Wouldn't they have left that with their children to use to start fires?
- Why weren't the thing's Beh's Dad left found in the cave?

Yeah it definitely wasn't a helicopter. It was some type of time travel machine of sorts. Very sophisticated in design, I'm assuming. I mean a standard helicopter wouldn't be able to withstand that kind of power/velocity jumping through those time/space worm holes. U would need a machine that would be able to make that kind of trip & back and helicopter wouldn't be able to do that.

The way it was described I saw it as some type of air craft that was sleek in design. Not rounded like a helicopter. And something not overly massive, but not small either.

I think I can help you with some questions.
What they found was the button, remember that's how they were making fire.
Birth Control, IUD's are from 3 to 10 years. Really good birth control and reliable. I believe she wanted the birth control after Lah got sick.
The black thing with pictures...well using a little of imagination it could've been an ipad or something. The dad was a scientist so maybe he redesign it to be able to charge with solar power. We never read how many thing the briefcase had.
The things were not found because remember Beh tough her kids to use the stuff she had in there. So most likely was left for us to think they were the ones that took it.

Kristin I believe the helicopter reference was about how it sounded, maybe even the pressure you feel as it lands. Time travel could distort alot of things. The time lapses are probably because the timing was imprecise. He probably repeated her time leap and then guessed how to arrive only slightly later when he returned. The most unbelievable part is that her father wouldn't force his child to return. But still what a great story.

Shannon I loved the book just as it is, I don't feel the need to read anything from Beh's point of view.

I agree. Part of the power of this story was the way they communicated. I think it would be very different from her pov. Being his pov allowed her to be a more relatable character. We all knew how she felt or would think without her uttering a single word.

Megan I would love a novella from Beh's POV. Love love love it.

Kim I saw somewhere that the writer said the book she carried with her from her father was a solar powered book about what plants etc. they can eat. So she taught the same to her children. Edh mentioned that it was strange she looked at images of flowers and plants that you couldn't touch. Makes sense.

It seems like this one hasn't been answered yet: Elizabeth and her friends refer to "professors" rather than "teachers" which makes her a senior in college rather than high school. So if she and Ehd are around 22, he would have lost his family when he was 15.

Kristin I thought she was 17 too. There are professors at prep schools and private schools. Both of her parents were academics likely at a local university. She was probably not in a public high school. I also thought he was slightly older, but it's been awhile and I read alot. So I'm not 100% sure.
