I need a memory refresher. Could someone please tell me what the ShadowNet is?
it is a smaller psynet, that the psy that rebelled against silence created when they dropped out the Net. now it fuels the Forgotten, those psy descendents that are intermixed with the other races. people like Talin, who needed biofeedback but aren't quite psy. it is ShadowNet cause they want to be hidde. from the psy council
there is a much betterdescription of it in this book. it is really neat. :D

she does that thing where she tells stories in the fisrt page of each chapter. It's interesting, but also annoying to me.The letters to Mathew seem to be mostly there to give you insight into what the Forgotten went through, and stuff. I think Dev might be related to Mathew, but Mat isn't part of the books.

I expect Matthew to be related to the telepath Psy they were talking about?The Shadownet can't support the Psy anymore. It has been affected by the mixing of the races and the "dilution" of the Psy blood.

I'm enjoying this book. I really like Dev. Katya is a strong and determined woman. I'm curious how this will end up with Ming programming Katya to kill herself in any way. Dev does remind me a lot of a changeling. With his constant need to touch Katya, his proctectivness

Yes, he is so different from the Psy we have seen before. Is it maybe because he is part of Shine or the Fogotten?
Why does Katya want to go north? Is it because of her programming or maybe that's where Ming is and she wants him dead?

Lol! Thank you for your concern. Such a sweety. I like the heros too. Sometimes. I really like the protagonists in this book. Buuuut one is on his way to being a robot, and the other could be a mind controlled puppet.
Yeah I see your point. But villains are so much fun.
I like this series for how the heroes aren't the only ones that progress and change. The dynamics in the council keep changing. Like now, soshanna seems actually sane compared to Henry's crazy. But that doesn't make her less of an antagonist.
It's fun seeing everything evolve, not just the relationships that are starting in each book.
As a side note:
Hoooow much do I want to see an honest to goodness changling villain? Ssooooooo much. Changlings can be evil too, Singh! Not just drug addled or whatever. Seeing an antagonist pack, that functions with the same close knit pack mentality as the two main packs would be... Delicious.
Oh man, I forgot how addicting this series. So, Zarina and Mathew are Dev's ancestors.The whole thing in Sunshine, Alaska was so chilling. Ming is so completely cold-blooded. I think he is even more far gone than Enrique.
Just a few more chapters left!
We also hear of a new changeling pack in this book. I wonder if we'll see more of them through the series.Gwen, I agree. Even I'd like to meet a antagonist changeling pack.
I finished the book. I really enjoyed it, though according to me the ending was a bit anticlimatic.The whole Dev and Katya angle was emotional and I even cried a little.
Keenan and Noor really surprised me. I really hope their abilities are explored in the future books. I'm really curious.

I'm so jealous of you guys. We never have such events in India. I mean, I'm sure there are lots of Indian authors who have some sort of convention or something else, but I don't read them. And those whom I do read, I probably will never meet. :'(

I know, I loved both Dev and Katya. She held her own, and was very much more human than a Psy. Dev was hot. And sexy. Did I mention hot? He was a typical Alpha-male, but hey I'm ready for him whenever he wants me to be! :D Hopefully the next book will also be good. But I've heard it wasn't that great. *fingers crossed*I'm eagerly waiting to read Heart of Obsidian.

oh, I thought bonds of justice was pretty neat. another psy/human pair. the psy is female, and pretty freaking badass in my book. also, more kaleb, and nikita <3

I liked how the story progressed, too. We met a lot of new people in this book. I wonder if we'll be seeing more of them - mainly the Forgotten.
Bonds of Justice next week?
I didn't finish this until this morning, but I did like it quite a bit once finished. I think it's my second favorite at this point. Only Kaleb stands a chance at beating out Judd in my heart. Well.. maybe Vasic. He's pretty hawt. OMG though, Judd in this book. I loved him.
I really like Dev too though. And I loved how Katya was very much not helpless despite being, perhaps, the most helpless female yet featured.
Guys helping broken girls is a thing I enjoy I guess.. since that was also Caressed by Ice. And villains too. Hmm. I should take my buddy read notes to my therapist....

I like how she works in reasons for all of these "new!!" powers too, because otherwise believability would be stretched way too far out of shape to ever fit quite right again. :)
