The letters to Mathew seem to be mostly there to give you insight into what the Forgotten went through, and stuff. I think Dev might be related to Mathew, but Mat isn't part of the books.

Ok. I was wondering if he was some how related to Dev or Katya.

The Shadownet can't support the Psy anymore. It has been affected by the mixing of the races and the "dilution" of the Psy blood.
I like the idea of the mixing of the blood over the years creates new abilities. Did we know what John could do before?

Yes, he is so different from the Psy we have seen before. Is it maybe because he is part of Shine or the Fogotten?
Why does Katya want to go north? Is it because of her programming or maybe that's where Ming is and she wants him dead?
No more subservient Henry. He wants control. Good luck with trying to wrestle that from Shoshanna.

I think it's time for an intervention with Gwenn and Alyssia - it's just not healthy to love the crazy ones so much :)

I like the heros too. Sometimes. I really like the protagonists in this book. Buuuut one is on his way to being a robot, and the other could be a mind controlled puppet.
Yeah I see your point. But villains are so much fun.
I like this series for how the heroes aren't the only ones that progress and change. The dynamics in the council keep changing. Like now, soshanna seems actually sane compared to Henry's crazy. But that doesn't make her less of an antagonist.
It's fun seeing everything evolve, not just the relationships that are starting in each book.
As a side note:
Hoooow much do I want to see an honest to goodness changling villain? Ssooooooo much. Changlings can be evil too, Singh! Not just drug addled or whatever. Seeing an antagonist pack, that functions with the same close knit pack mentality as the two main packs would be... Delicious.

The whole thing in Sunshine, Alaska was so chilling. Ming is so completely cold-blooded. I think he is even more far gone than Enrique.
Just a few more chapters left!

Gwen, I agree. Even I'd like to meet a antagonist changeling pack.

The whole Dev and Katya angle was emotional and I even cried a little.
Keenan and Noor really surprised me. I really hope their abilities are explored in the future books. I'm really curious.

=D
I doooo love the crazy and emotionally stunted. Judd was my all time favorite. And my heart beats for Kaleb. <3

seconded.
and... they can all be combined. actually. i'd be /really/ ok with that.
You two should totally get together and stalk Singh and tell her what you want. Website, FB, Twitter - go all out until she either writes it or you get arrested, whichever comes first. Either way, good times :D
I will see her in New Orleans in May. Maybe she will share some news that will please y'all about her upcoming work.
I wish I could bundle y'all up to take y'all with me. This is my first convention and I am really looking forward to it. I have been cooped up since October so getting away sounds like paradise to me.

Aarati, I'm sorry. I will post pictures after the convention. I think it is cool that I have friends on goodreads that live all over the world and that we share a love of reading.

Cool. Would love to see the pictures. Recently I just got a bookmark autographed by Ilona Andrews, thanks to a friend on goodreads. She was going to a signing and offered to get the bookmarks for anyone who wanted it. It was sooo awesome.
I hope you have loads of fun at the convention. I'll wait for the pictures. :)
I finished it and I have to say this one was my favorite so far. Even though I am a sucker for the changelings this story just sucked me in.

I love Ilona Andrews! They are going to be there. That was cool what your friend did for you. I will see what I can do.

Right? It progressed a lot of interesting things :D

I'm eagerly waiting to read Heart of Obsidian.

I enjoyed finding out more about Kaleb and Nikita in this book.

I agree with you ladies. I liked this book more than I thought I would (since it wasn't centered around the Changelings). Dev was very shifty-like, though, and it made me happy. Plus, I always love a female who is willing to fight back rather than sit back and let the big, tough man save her, or control her.
I liked how the story progressed, too. We met a lot of new people in this book. I wonder if we'll be seeing more of them - mainly the Forgotten.
Bonds of Justice next week?

OMG though, Judd in this book. I loved him.
I really like Dev too though. And I loved how Katya was very much not helpless despite being, perhaps, the most helpless female yet featured.
Guys helping broken girls is a thing I enjoy I guess.. since that was also Caressed by Ice. And villains too. Hmm. I should take my buddy read notes to my therapist....
