Monday is Eid, so I can start but I'll be a bit slow!

Eid is a day of celebration for Muslims. It's like Christmas in that family come over and there's a lot of food n presents!

But this year should be a quiet one for me so I'll definitely be able to start on Monday. I look forward to it!

Chapter 10 now, about page 25. It's lovely and poetic, but god I hope she gets happier soon

I'm finished with BOOK I and wow!

This is a very unique writing and the voice is really good. I do have a couple comments and a question.

I can't believe that Judith's mother (view spoiler)[ treats her like crap and blames her for her daughter's disappearance for two years. WOW! What mother does that? (hide spoiler)]

Judith is really (view spoiler)[ either gutsy or just plain stupid to go back to her captor's place, but it did work out because now he's dead and, if I understood correctly, they won that battle. (hide spoiler)]

I love how Judith is (view spoiler)[talking to Lucas throughout the story and telling him everything about her encounters and daily activities. It's beautiful how she has loved him for so long. (hide spoiler)]

Lucas seems to be really (view spoiler)[ kind. He is the only one who really seems to still give Judith any attention at all and isn't scared away by her muteness. OMG! What is wrong with people that they shy away from someone who's been injured in such a vile way? (hide spoiler)]

The book is so beautiful and has such a somber tone that I couldn't help to bust up laughing when (view spoiler)[ Darrel had shot himself in his foot. LOL Not a funny thing in reality, but it sure struck me funny. (hide spoiler)]
