Dante wasn't quite sure how to respond to that with selected girls in the room, so he just gave a halfhearted smile. He looked over at Savannah. "Well, a boy's book preference is very private, but I'll tell you anyway if you promise not to tell anyone else." he said in a fake, hushed whisper.

When Emily was close enough she heard the word "elimination " and got a little bit nervous . Ok , is something natural , the eliminations have to happen one way or another , but she wasn't ready . She decided to focus in the conversation " We won't tell " she smiled at the prince " Your secret is safe with us "
"Oh yes, very private," she chuckled softly. She bit her lip to stop herself from smiling too much. The word Elimination did scare her a little, but she knew more than to just let it frighten her heart like that. "Uh huh, I promise I won't tell," she whispered back at him, grinning a little. "Your secret would be safe with me," she muttered teasingly, glancing into his eyes for a moment, her brown eyes everything but serious.

Queen Victoria stood there wondering what her son needed to say. To tell the truth everyone in the family had a secret. She waited patiently.
Lila smiled at Dante. She felt a bit jealous that he had ignored her and just responded to Savannah, but she didn't mind too much. After all, he had to make sure that he was being fair to all of the girls. Which is completely understandable and made her like Dante even more. She didn't want to interrupt back into the conversation and sound rude, but she didn't want to seem shy either. What to do, what to do. She glanced at Dante with teasing eyes and whispered, "I won't tell a soul either." She winked at him and giggled a bit.
"Ladies, this book is from the old world, but a few copies were found intact." he said, "Unbroken: A World War II Story of Survival, Resilience, and Redemption is my favorite book, and I value your trust." he concluded, making eye contact with each girl. Honestly, telling them about his favorite book wasn't a big deal, but it still seemed personal to him.
Emily smiled when Dante named his favorite book . She hadn't heard from it until the prince spoke but she would make sure to read it soon , maybe she could find why is the prince's favorite . She couldn't help but notice that even the conversation seemed like a contest , all the girls wanted this so hard .
Savannah chuckled softly at Lila's words and than looked at the book as Dante spoke. A book about the old world? That surprised her, it really did. She couldn't read the title, and glanced at the Queen for a little reassurance. She didn't want to ask what was on the book, because if everybody knew she couldn't read, it would be embarrassing. "It does look old," she admitted. She looked from Lila to Dante and the Queen. "Do you have a lot of books from the old world here?" she asked, curious. At home, books were so, so expensive, and books from the old world... well... they were so rare and no one could afford them.

The nodded, "Yes, Savannah. We do have books from the old world. They are kept in a very special area of the library." She informed the girls. She then realized of what she said.
Lila's eyes opened wide when she saw the book that Dante was holding."Wow, it does look really old! I'd love to read it at some point, if there was another copy perhaps." She paused. "But of course, since it's such a special and old book, I completely understand if we're not allowed to use the library's copies." She nodded. She had a fascination with old books. They were so intriguing, so different from books nowadays. She then listened to what the Queen had said, and thought for a moment. Special area... "Oh, are we not supposed to be here? Is this supposed to be a private area?" Her eyes widened with worry.
Dante raised an eyebrow. "Of course you girls may be here. You are our guests. Please feel free to read what you'd like." he said. ((Gtg for a bit.))
((Bye!))"Hmm," she muttered softly, biting her lip. She looked at the Queen. "Oh well, I won't tell anyone," she promised. She knew how treasured those books were. She couldn't help but notice as if Lila was trying to shut her out, and sighed. "Your Majesty... do you think that we could have our lesson soon? I really want to start. But if you don't have time..." she trailed off, looking at the Queen with a light smile.

The queen looked at everyone and then whispered loud enough that Savannah could hear. "Meet me in the back of the library."
Iliana walked into the library humming lightly. She was in a good mood and wasn't sure why. She didn't normally sing a lot.
Lila smiled at the two girls who walked in. "Good morning!" She said cheerily. She couldn't remember if she had met either of them before or not.
Savannah nodded at the Queen and smiled slightly. It reassured her to know that she was willing to teach, and it made her relax. She saw some other girls walking in and smiled slightly. "Hey," she said. "We haven't met yet. I'm Savannah," she said, to the two new faces.

((Night Athena :) ))
"Good day Your majesties and Your Highness," she said to the Royal family. "Its nice to meet you. I'm Iliana," she said with a friendly smile. She wasn't sure what to do as she hadn't been a room with so many unknown people in a long time. Since before Lucian in fact.

((Night!))Savannah smiled at him and than saw the Queen leave. Time for their lesson already? Well, that was indeed soon. The thought made her chuckle lightly. "Hello, Your Majesty," she smiled at the king, doing a slight curtsy. "It is nice to meet you," she smiled and than took a step back. "Excuse me for a moment," she said, and than took off towards the back of the library.

The queen waited for Savannah in the back of the library. When she saw her coming, she opened a secret door.
((Is it my turn again now then?))
Iliana watched the girl go and shrugged. Okay then. She smiled at the people remaining near her. She wasn't sure what to say and waited for someone else to speak as she had no idea what they were talking about before she entered the room.
Anastasia entered the room nervously. She had heard that some members of the royal family were in the library... and she wanted to see if they had the Silmarillion.
Savannah followed the Queen into the room and chuckled. "Wow, there really is a secret room. I hadn't expected that," she admitted, looking around curiously.

Savannah sat down on one of the chairs and looked at the Queen, wondering what she was going to teach her first. She was just glad that she would be able to read, a few words at least.

The queen took a painting down and a chalk board appeared. "Now tell me what kind of dyslexia are you?"
"I have Visual Dyslexia," she said softly, looking at the Queen. She chuckled softly as she saw the chalk board. "This castle sure is full of secrets," she smiled.

"What I am asking is that do some of the letters look like other letters?' She asked again. She wrote down a 'b' and a 'd.' "Like a 'b' and a 'd.' "
"Well..." she trailed off, eyes fixating on the board in front of her. She furrowed her brows as she looked at the two letters, and the things she said were true. She couldn't see which were the right ones. "They look the same to me," she muttered.

She watched them as she wrote them down, and furrowed her brows again. It was a little harder, seeing as there were three letters each now. "Well, the first one looks like a b but it could be a d. But dow... it sounds weird, so bow? And the second one, I have no idea," she admitted shyly.

"The first one is correct and the second one is supposed to be 'dog.' " She erased it and wrote two more words. This time it was 'down' and 'bun.'
"You sure are making this harder," she grumbled and then laughed, shaking her head. She went silent and concentrated on the words. They were difficult but she managed. "The second one is bun. But the first one. I'm not sure but... down? It looks like a b though, but that wouldn't make sense."

"You are correct on both. I want you to come up here and write down the words on the board." She erased the two words.
"Hmm, alright," she got up and walked over to the board. "Did you learn how to read and write at school?" she asked curiously, taking the chalk from the Queen. She wondered what it would be like to be raised in wealth.

The queen nodded, "yes, I did learn how to read and write when I went to school, but I learned in the library." She smiled, but I did learn by myself.
Savannah smiled back kindly. "That's great," she said. "I wished that everyone could go to school," she said softly, looking at the chalk for a moment. 'So everyone can have a good life," she muttered. "I wish I could be like that," she sighed. She than turned to the Queen. "Did you always wanted to be a part of the Selection? I heard your comment. What do you think about all this?"

The queen shook her head, "No, I never wanted to be part of the selection. I always thought it was not useful." She sighed again, "At first, I decided that doing this was for the best, but then seeing all of you here, just makes me rethink everything."
"Well, I didn't want to be in either, but well, my parents.. they were so keen on having me play a part in this. And Dante well, he seems so nice," she smiled slightly. "And I can believe that easily. It feels wrong to me in a way, thinking that this is all just for a show," she said softly. "I have no idea how to talk to Dante alone. But I enjoy the other's company as well, but than I hear that word again "Selection" and it just feels like a whole competition," she sighed.

"If you were wondering, the "Selection" is just trying to find someone that is compatible with another person. Like for my son, I thought it would be best for him." She sighed again, "did you write the words on the board yet?"
"No, I'm sorry, I was distracted," she chuckled. She slowly tried to write the words on the board, but ended up wiping one letter away sometimes because she thought it wasn't right. In the end, it worked. "Yes, that's true," she muttered at her other words. "That you want the best for your son is understandable. I would want that, too," she smiled at her. "Though I've never been in love before."

The queen watched Savannah write down the words, "You have three correct. The last one, you forgot a letter."
"Hmm, yeah I see. Bea is not really a word," she chuckled softly, than adding the "R" after a thought. "What about now?" she smiled, turning to the Queen.

"Better, now write what I say. 'My name is mary, I love berries and dancing.' " The queen stood to the side of the room and watched her.
"Really, berries and dancing? You picked my least favorites things, your Majesty," she teased, starting to write the sentence. Name was a hard one, but she managed. She did make mistakes on berries and dancing though. "I can't dance either. I seem to be the girl who isn't able to do a lot of things a girl should be able to do," she chuckled.
