Thanks, Becky. I'm wondering if anyone has read a 2014 book that you feel strongly should win the Newbery. I think my favorite, so far, is HALF A CHANCE but I have lots more to read.

Lovely book, with a bubbling flow of language and an unusual capacity, in a children's book, for magical realism. Definitely a Newbery contender...in a just world.
